Good Morning!! We are jumping ahead to Lesson 32 today on the Jewish Feasts, Fasts, and Festivals...after almost two years of study, it is finally complete and will be ready to order in a few weeks from the webpage www.childrensministrylessons.com
This 52 page book features an in-depth adult lesson and a childrens page for each of the 22 Jewish Festivals, detailing each holy day then and now making 22 separate unique lessons. Understanding why God commanded these days and how they complete the pattern of God is essential to the study of Gods word. For example, Christians believe that the Holy Spirit was first revealed in Acts 2. But, when you study the Jewish traditions it was first realized as part of the FIRE OF GOD! Jewish tradition states that when God gave Moses the Law on Mt Sinai that the FIRE OF GOD divided itself into the 70 different languages. The fiery language of God would come down from the top of the mountain and stand before each person and say "Do you understand this commandment?" The fiery tongue would then say "Do you promise to keep this commandment?" Then the Fire would return to the top of the Mt and engrave the commandment into the Tables of Stone. On the Day of Pentecost every Jewish male is commanded to come to Jerusalem. As part of the festival, the men stay up all night in study and prayer (decorating the bride). At daybreak the 10 commandments are recited, and at that exact moment the outpouring of the Holy Spirit will come. This is exactly what happened in Acts, with the Church receiving the pattern from Mt Sinai of Fiery tongues, and with Jews from all nations hearing the Words of God in their own language with 3,000 being saved!! This Holy day is celebrated as the Marriage of the Jewish nation to God. As a Christian, I am so glad that He also reaffirmed that marriage contract with the Church in Acts and with each individual who will just say "All that the Lord has spoken, will I do and be obedient!!"
