Welcome Coach Ben Kritsonis to the Bronco Family! Coach Kritsonis joins the Zachary Wrestling coaching staff alongside Head Coach Ben McHugh, and assistant coaches Chris McNamara, Trevor Beach, and Michaela McHugh.

Kritsonis brings knowledge and expertise from some of the greatest minds in the history of the sport. He has wrestled with and coached under some of the greatest wrestlers and coaches in the history of the sport.

Zachary Head Coach Ben McHugh describes Kritsonis as a “Louisiana wrestling Mount Rushmore type of guy. He’s done everything in this sport you can do, and I can’t wait to see how he brings the best out of our program for years to come.”

‘Coach K’ is teaching elementary PE as a full time faculty teacher at Rollins Place Elementary School and will be coaching both the boys and girls at Zachary High School.

We pride ourselves in the sport of wrestling as being a sport that doesn’t have to worry about weather in order for us to compete, but unfortunately it’s been taken out of our hands. We will have to end our summer camp 1 day early. The entire school system will be closed tomorrow because of the inclement weather.

Our 2026 ZHS Wrestling Camp by Ben McHugh is going strong! Rain, sleet, hail, or shine WE ARE WRESTLING AT ZHS! Make sure your child has their own water bottle and some snacks for a quick lunch break at 11am.

If you missed out on pre-registration, don’t worry about it. We have day of registration available.

If you miss out on Monday, we’ll still be here for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9-1pm.
