Huge thank you to all of the players and parents who came out last night for the YHS Boys Soccer Interest Meeting. ⚽🐝

We talked about expectations, commitment, offseason development, and the standard we plan to build both on and off the field. This program is going to be built on effort, accountability, intensity, and heart.

Thanks again to those who attended and for those who were unable to attend, but are still interested in trying out for the 2026/2027 season, we will post the player registration link in the comments below. We’ll use this to disseminate important information about the program.

The return is official. 🐝⚽

After spending 7 years on the sideline as an assistant coach and the last 4 years away from the program I’m credibly excited and honored to return as the head coach of Yulee High School Boys Soccer.

This program will once again be built on intensity, effort, discipline, and heart. The expectations will be high both on and off the field, and we’re bringing a competitive mindset back to Hornet Soccer from day one.

We’re not easing into this season. Summer sessions will start strong, offseason conditioning will become a major focus, and tryouts will demand commitment, work ethic, and toughness. Nothing will be handed out; everything will be earned.

At the same time, we’re committed to building a united program and creating a culture where players compete for each other every single day. The goal is simple: raise the standard, raise the competition, and make Yulee a team nobody wants to face.

A huge thank you to Kyle Dougherty for the opportunity and trust to lead this program. I’m ready to get to work.

⚽ Are we overlooking one of the most important parts of the U.S. soccer landscape?

High school soccer is often pushed to the side in the development conversation — but it still provides something that many environments can’t: identity, community, and real game emotion.

I sat down with Jim Harte to dig into this, and what stood out most is how creativity as a coach doesn’t always show up in session design… sometimes it’s in building something bigger.

Jim is doing exactly that with the High School Champions League — creating meaningful competition, local rivalries, and opportunities for players who might otherwise be overlooked.

This is a different kind of conversation. One that challenges how we think about “development” and what really matters in the player experience.

The College Soccer Prospect ID Showcase Camp is designed for high school soccer players that want to work directly with college coaches. The event is for those players who are focused on becoming college soccer student-athletes or want to learn more about that process. The camp will feature quality....
