Every workout doesn't have to leave you a heaving puddle of sweat laid out on the floor. Intensity has a place in your training regimen, but must be balanced with individual factors like nutrition intake, sleep schedule, and work/ family/ life stressors.

Instead of making every workout a fight to the death, try focusing on being intentional and consistent with your workouts. Exercising 2-3x per week, week in, week out will result in better results.

Do you struggle to drink enough water, especially when it's cooler outside? Here are a few tips to help hit your hydration goals.

1️⃣ Start Your Day with Water - Before your morning coffee or tea, drink a glass of water to jumpstart your hydration.

2️⃣ Keep a Bottle Handy - Carry a reusable water bottle wherever you go (Stanley, anyone?) Seeing it reminds you to sip regularly! Bonus: Choose one with time markers for motivation.

3️⃣ Flavor It Up - Add fresh fruits like lemon, berries, or cucumber for a refreshing twist.

4️⃣ Set Alarms or Goals - Use your phone or a hydration app to set reminders to track your daily intake.

Meet the Team!

Coach Dawn is the owner and head coach of Fizikly Fit Training. With over 12 years of training experience, Dawn holds certifications in strength and conditioning, yoga, Olympic Weightlifting, and nutrition. She is currently working towards obtaining her doctorate in physical therapy.

Allison, Dawn's daughter, is a frequent visitor to our training studio. A junior at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, Allison loves singing, dancing, and acting on stage, and brings her organizational creativity to stage managing. She wants to attend college to study musical theater.

Intern Penny will be the first to great you upon your arrival at the training studio. A Border Collie, Penny is our feral chaos goblin, she makes everything more fun! When she's not in the gym, Penny loves swimming at Pet Paradise or chasing bubbles in the backyard.

It's that time of year, we look back on last year and look forward to a new beginning!

Do you a list of items you'd like to change or incorporate in the coming year?

Many of us make resolutions for the new year--things we'd like to start doing/ get better at doing/ stop doing.

Often, these resolutions are not accompanied with a plan on how to accomplish them.

That's where goals come in handy. GOALS allow us to accomplish significant change in our lives by giving us a map to success.

Having goals that are:
Specific
Measurable
Attainable
Relevant
Timely

will allow us to make the most of the energy we are applying to our goals.
