Up next, we have Miss Abby! Miss Abby is working with some of our tiny dancers this season!

Abby started dance classes when she younger, and started competitive dance when she was 13. Abby is trained in many styles including contemporary, jazz, ballet, hip hop, and dance team. Abby still competes with her studio located in the Wake Forest area, where she has won multiple high score awards with her team. She also was a regional title finalist for her solo with the competition Dance Machine, and won a critics choice award at NYCDA for one of her group dances. When she isn’t busy dancing, Abby enjoys reading, and spending time with her family and friends.

Meet our staff! First up, we have Mrs. Jeffrie Duberville!

Beginning ballet at age 2, Ms. Jeffrie studied ballet in her local hometown until age 15, when she received a scholarship to attend the National Ballet Academic High School and professional ballet company in Washington DC. She continued dancing professionally with other companies, training with NYC ballet studios, the Royal Ballet, and Soviet Ballet schools. She taught, directed, and choreographed for her own studio and company until age 35. She is one of a handful of instructors to receive a Certificate of Training in the Vaganova Technique, from the Minister of Culture USSR, training in Moscow, Minsk, St. Petersburg, and Tbilisi. She is married, has 5 grown children and 4 grandchildren. We are so excited to have her join the Emerald family and share her love for dance with our students!
