The date of the OSW Annual Club Picnic has been changed to July 25th.

It will be at the same time and same location. This has been updated in the event calendar. This was done so that we can support the Greenway Trail event happening on July 11th.

Hope to see you all at this fun and well-attended event this summer.

Ride Lead Needed

We are collaborating with Healthy Community Partnership to host Move the Valley walk and bike series alongside the Downtown Youngstown Farmers Market.

There will be a walking group and two separate cycling groups, one beginner, one advanced. The advanced ride "YSU Happy Hour Ride" is organized by Michael Billock. We are looking for 1-2 volunteers to lead the beginner ride on June 11th and every second Thursday of the month.

Details below:

Join us every 2nd and 4th Thursday (weather permitting) for a walk or bike ride starting at the Main Library (305 Wick Ave). Meet at 5:00 PM; groups head out at 5:30 PM.

Walk group: Meets every event.

Beginner bike ride: Available on 2nd Thursdays (short downtown route). (about 3 miles)
Route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/54386579

Advanced bike ride: Meets at Lot 33 on campus at 5:15 PM, departs at 5:30 PM for a 20–25 mile ride through Mill Creek Park (every event).

After the ride, check out the Downtown Youngstown Farmers Market behind the library from 4:00–7:30 PM, then optionally head to Noble Creature for food or drinks.

Volunteers needed: Experienced cyclists are encouraged to help lead beginner rides starting June 11.
