It is HOT AF right now!

It’s officially sweat season at BSS Fitness. As someone who’s spent more hours in hot gyms than most people spend at their jobs, here are my expert tips to keep you cool, hydrated, and lifting heavy — without melting into a gym puddle:

1. Hydration is not optional.
You’re not a cactus. Drink 16–20 oz of water before your session and keep sipping during your workout. If you’re drenched in sweat after warmups, toss in some electrolytes (they will be available at BSS shortly)— your performance (and your muscles) will thank you.
2. Dress like it’s hot because… it is.
Lightweight, moisture-wicking gear is your best friend. If you’re still rocking a hoodie mid-July, you better be cutting weight or hiding from your problems.
3. Use airflow like a strategy.
Fans, bay doors, even a strategic walk by the AC vent — get that air moving. More airflow = less suffering.
4. Know when to back off.
If you’re seeing stars that aren’t part of your pre-workout hallucinations, stop. Sit down. Drink water. This is training, not a survival course.
Train smart. Stay cool. Be the strongest person in the room — not the sweatiest.

Other recommendations
Wear deodorant so that we do not have to smell you!
Wipe up your sweat because nobody wants to sit in your funk.
Mops are available to clean up your puddles.. Use them!

That’s right—your favorite dysfunctional fitness family is back with the 6th Annual Ohio’s Strongest!
We’re throwing down heavy at a brewery (because of course we are), and you’re invited to test your grit, guts, and grip against the Midwest’s finest lifters.

The Gauntlet:
-Yoke to Axle Clean & Press – Move like a freight train, then rep that axle like your gym crush is watching. Don’t drop it or you’ll zero—and cry.
-Max Wagon Wheel Deadlift – It’s 18” off the floor, but your ego might still break. 3 attempts. 0 excuses.
-Max Distance Block Carry – Pick it up and go until your soul leaves your body.
-Sandbag Load Series – 3 bags. 1 minute. Just like stones… but dustier.
-Duckwalk to Block Load – Because nothing says “strongman” like waddling with iron and throwing it up stairs.

NO REFUNDS. NO CRYING. NO TACKY.
