The Great Pumpkin Race Weekend at Quaker City Motorsports Park! 🎃
What a weekend it was for Marcum Racing! Three days of racing, lots of rounds, plenty of emotions, and a whole lot of memories made with our racing family.
Thursday we hung out and watched Morley C go some rounds in the 64 car shootout and the guys put the finishing touches on Kams girlfriend Chloe’s brand new Junior that her parents surprised her with!
Kamden was back at it Friday, Saturday AND Sunday, putting in the work and going rounds each day! All while fighting some issues with his car all weekend. This kid never gives up and continues to learn and grow with every pass down the track. Sunday Kam made his final 8.90 competition pass down the track at Quaker.. next season he moves up to the 7.90 class.
Saturday morning brought the Track Champion Run-Off, where Kam got the opportunity to race the winner from the older age group. Unfortunately, he just barely broke out in the run-off, and he was absolutely crushed. He wanted that one BAD, and seeing how upset he was broke moms heart. But after letting the emotions settle, he got back in the car and had a great rest of the day racing. That determination and ability to shake it off and keep going is something we are so proud of. ❤️
Garrick also took on his first ever big event, and we couldn’t be more proud of him! He turned on a few win lights Saturday but got knocked out third round. Sunday unfortunately ended with a first-round loss, and then we found out there were no buybacks, ending his weekend sooner than we had hoped. But for his first big event, he did an awesome job and gained experience that will only make him better going forward!
And then there was Chris… because apparently we weren’t allowed to have a weekend without a little drama. 😂 Chris raced Saturday night at Kuhnle Motorsports Park, but unfortunately the transmission decided it had other plans and broke AGAIN.
Thank you to Frank Sari for running Kam this weekend when Chris wasn’t there.. we appreciate you more than you know!
Not exactly the weekend we would have scripted, but that’s racing! There were wins, losses, tears, smiles, broken parts, lessons learned and memories made. And at the end of the day, that’s what it’s all about.
So proud of these kids for continuing to get in the car, race hard, learn from every pass and never give up.
Only a few more races left for the season.. this weekend for Chris at Dragway 42 (If the car is back together) and then Chris, Kamden and Garrick the following weekend at Keystone Motorsports Park.

What a good summer it was.. but that’s a wrap for our 2026 season at Quaker.
