Sluggers Fastpitch 2013 Softball The Sluggers 8U Coaching staff has years of experience in coaching as well as professional instructional experience and capabilities.

Sluggers 2013 is fastpitch softball club based in the Boardman, Ohio area that gives female athletes the opportunity to train and compete in the game they love year-round. Our team will practice indoors at the Sluggers of Ohio Indoor Training Facility throughout the Fall, Winter, and Spring, as well as outdoors as weather permits at a field complex in the area. This Team expects to compete in appr

oximately six (6) tournaments in the region and, while our primary goal is winning tournaments, teaching the game of softball, improving our young athletes’ skills, and championing and teaching a positive and respectful attitude are no less important.

Powerful Pitching Performance From Jaydyn D Carries Sluggers 2013 12U Past Muskingum Valley Cyclones 12U

Jaydyn D struck out 10 batters as the starting pitcher led Sluggers 2013 12U past Muskingum Valley Cyclones 12U 3-0 on Saturday at Jackson South Park. Jaydyn gave up five hits and zero runs over five innings while walking none.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Sluggers 2013 12U pitchers struck out 10, while Muskingum Valley Cyclones 12U sat down five.

Sluggers 2013 12U opened the scoring in the second after Haley G singled, scoring one run.

Kate T started the game for Muskingum Valley Cyclones 12U. The starter gave up five hits and three runs over five innings, striking out five and walking three.

Kenzzi Y led Sluggers 2013 12U with two runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-2 on the day. Isabelle P went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Sluggers 2013 12U in hits. Grace G stole two bases.

Briley B, Ava F, Emily H, Angelika N, and Kate each collected one hit for Muskingum Valley Cyclones 12U.

Sluggers 2013 12U will travel to Battle of 330 for their next game on Saturday.

Walk-Off Seals The Deal In Sluggers 2013 12U Victory Over Velocity Heat - Lions 12U

Sluggers 2013 12U took Saturday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 9-8 walk-off victory over Velocity Heat - Lions 12U at Jackson South Park. The game was tied at eight in the bottom of the fourth when Marissa H drew a walk, scoring one run.

Sluggers 2013 12U came back to win despite trailing 8-0 in the first.

Velocity Heat - Lions 12U got on the board in the top of the first inning after Opal L singled, scoring one run, Maleigha R doubled, scoring two runs, Lorelai P singled, scoring one run, Isabelle P induced Pauline S to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, Marcie S singled, scoring one run, Diem S singled, scoring one run, and one run scored on another play.

Sluggers 2013 12U scored five runs on three hits in the bottom of the second inning. Haley G grounded out, scoring one run, Quinn S singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, and an error scored two runs.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, Sluggers 2013 12U went back into the lead after Mia M singled to center field, Isabelle walked, and Marissa walked, each scoring one run.

Maddie J pitched three innings in relief for Sluggers 2013 12U. The righty gave up one hit and zero runs while, striking out three and walking one. Isabelle started in the circle for Sluggers 2013 12U. The pitcher surrendered eight hits and eight runs over one inning, striking out two and walking one. Pauline started the game for Velocity Heat - Lions 12U. The pitcher allowed nine hits and nine runs (six earned) over three and one-third innings, striking out two and walking three.

Sluggers 2013 12U collected nine hits in the game. Quinn and Grace G each collected two hits for Sluggers 2013 12U. Isabelle, Haley, Quinn, Grace, Mia, and Marissa each drove in one run for Sluggers 2013 12U. Sluggers 2013 12U were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Kenzzi Y had the most chances in the field with five.

Velocity Heat - Lions 12U piled up nine hits in the game. Maleigha drove the middle of the lineup, leading Velocity Heat - Lions 12U with two runs batted in. Both teams were strong in the circle on Saturday, but Sluggers 2013 12U defeated Thunder Elite Slifka 12U 3-2. Jaydyn D started the game for Sluggers 2013 12U and recorded 14 outs.

Sluggers 2013 12U got on the board in the bottom of the second inning after Jaydyn doubled to center field, and Grace G singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.

Sluggers 2013 12U added one run in the third after Emma D tripled down the right field line.

Jaydyn stepped in the circle first for Sluggers 2013 12U. The pitcher surrendered seven hits and two runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out seven and walking four. Stella S started in the circle for Thunder Elite Slifka 12U. The pitcher gave up four hits and three runs over four innings, striking out four and walking two. Maddie J appeared in relief for Sluggers 2013 12U.

Great weekend of softball for these girls saw them lock up the #1 seed (out of 14) by going 3-0 in pool play and winning two bracket games to make it to the championship game, where we fell short 3-0 to a good Iron City Dynamite team.

Jaydyn D threw a perfect game on Saturday at Struthers Baseball League to lead Sluggers 2013 12U past FF2K31 12U 6-0. Jaydyn struck out Rylee W to end the game.

Sluggers 2013 12U won thanks in part to five runs in the fourth inning. Marissa H singled, scoring one run, Quinn S singled, scoring one run, Jaydyn doubled, scoring two runs, and Grace G doubled, scoring one run.

Sluggers 2013 12U were the first to get on the board in the third when Ava B hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.

Quinn J started the game for FF2K31 12U. The starter surrendered zero hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out two and walking none.

Sluggers 2013 12U piled up nine hits in the game. Jaydyn led Sluggers 2013 12U with two runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. The pitcher went 2-for-2 on the day. Jaydyn and Marissa each collected two hits for Sluggers 2013 12U. Jaydyn threw an immaculate inning in the first, striking out the side on nine pitches.
