The Monday Mindset: Discipline Over Motivation
Motivation is a feeling; it comes and goes. Discipline is a choice. On the days you don't "feel" like hitting the track, the gym, or getting in those off day swings....that's when the real progress happens.

The 5-Minute Rule: If you’re dreading the workout, just commit to the first 5 minutes. Usually, once the blood starts pumping, the mind follows.

Focus on the "Why": Why did you start this journey? Whether it’s a specific PR, a championship, or just proving something to yourself, bring that "why" to the front of your mind today.

Attack the Weakness: Use Monday to work on the thing you usually avoid (mobility, film study, or that one lift you hate).

1. The Ankle: The Foundation
• The Issue: Poor dorsiflexion leads to your heels lifting and your weight shifting forward.
• The Fix: Wall Ankle Mobilization. With toes 2–3 inches from a wall, drive your knee over your pinky toe to touch the wall without your heel lifting.
• The Goal: Maintain a flat-footed, stable secondary stance.
2. The Knee: Solidify Your Base
• The Issue: Chronic "catcher’s knee" often comes from lack of blood flow and terminal extension.
• The Fix: Reverse Step-ups (Patrick Step). Focus on the slow, controlled descent. This strengthens the connective tissue around the patella.
• The Goal: Better deceleration when blocking and less soreness after 9 innings.
3. The Hips: Power & Rotation
• The Issue: "Quiet" hips lead to slow lateral movement and lower back pain.
• The Fix: 90/90 Hip Switches. Sit on the floor with both legs at 90-degree angles. Rotate your hips to switch sides without using your hands.
• The Goal: Explosive lateral blocks and a smoother transition to your throw-down.
