The mindset less is more 🧠

Very often individuals get lost or overwhelmed with information. So as coaches we need to make sure we aren’t overloading our clients to the point where they feel stuck.

If we can give simple things to focus on it will increase our clients chances of success.

How well are they sleeping?

Are they fueling properly?

What does their recovery/stress look like?

Breaking it down this way can seem more manageable for the client and gives them confidence in what the can control.

Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither will your fitness goals!

Let’s learn to create patience in the process but more importantly find joy in the work that needs to be done and the success will start to come naturally.

As coaches and clients learning this is important because it prepares us for the small ups and downs during this process. There is always going to be bumps in the road and small stagnation but it just takes small simple adjustments to get past those.

High standards builds high performing coaches.

It is our job to correctly guide our clients the proper way but also be able to educate them in a simple way to understand some of the complexity out there about fitness.

We all know it can get pretty confusing 🫤 depending on who we are getting the info from!

I always want to be able to give the highest service possible along with my coaches. That is very important to me and find it to be very beneficial for our clients and members at our facility.

Just a small collection of movements that I personally find very important to have in my programming.

Everything can always have some type of variation depending on alignments of your goals and what works best for you!

BUT… it is crucial to make sure we are

- Hinging
- Squatting
- Lunging
- Pulling
- Pushing
- Carry (no videos sorry 😣)

I would highly recommend adding these in to your program if you don’t already. Of course if you don’t know where to start then reach out to a professional who can guide you in the right direction.

Pay to have structure and guidance will get you way farther than allowing one’s ego to get in the way and guess what’s right vs wrong. Another set of eyes always helps clear the uncertainty.

Understanding each individual and their capability stems from their own beliefs.

Something I have found through coaching many individuals during their fitness journey is helping them create the correct mindset shift to realizing that their true potential lies in themselves and that they are way more capable than they think. 🤔

Majority of the time it’s their own beliefs that limit their capability but if we as coaches can help provide the support then that belief can slowly change because at the end of the day that individual is truly the only person that can make this happen. 🙏🏼

Earning our clients and members trust has always and will always be a priority of mine.

It’s a special relationship to build on but also takes time. Every person doesn’t truly know what you know until they get to know you as an individual and allowing them to truly understand how much you care for their fitness journey. With that being said you can allow them to open up more and not be so guarded when communicating.

I take my clients trust very seriously because it has a huge impact on what I do and also how successful they will be at our facility.

Sunday Conditioning and Abs 🔥🫁

GHD sit ups 15x

I personally prioritize strength training and will add in conditioning about 2x per week. It’s what works for me physically and mentally.

I used to add it in a lot more but goals and lifestyle for me has changed.

Conditioning definitely has its benefits and I believe everyone should perform some type of it BUT overall strength training has to be the PRIORITY!!!

I cannot stress that enough my peeps. 🙏🏼

There is still a false perception that “heathy” eating is boring or tasteless or too expensive.

Honestly it’s the opposite but there’s a lack of urgency for high quality tasty recipe. I’m not saying I’m the flavor god here but I have tested out plenty of options some great 👍🏼 some horrible lol.

BUT it takes a little effort and that’s what frustrates me is the effort level has gone down for individuals and it’s scary because this is our heath that is being put at risk.

Everyone when they age says they wish they started sooner but yet everyone still waits until they age. So what is it? What’s stopping you?

Is it your own beliefs?

Is it your friend circle?

Is it your family?

Is it your significant other?

Is it your job?

Is it your dog?

Whatever it might be take a real long moment and think to ourselves. Is it worth the risk for later on when I’m older and have to schedule doctor appointments every week. Have to have scheduled medications through out the day? Have to ask for help to get out of a chair? Always needing assistance to walk up the stairs?

These are all real situations that happen every day but we can mitigate some of these things and also pro long them as best we can to continue to create a happy, healthy, sustainable lifestyle.

It’s not just money we are investing it’s also time and freedom. Keep that in mind 🧠.

Keep it simple stupid 🤓🤣

Something I say often but I truly believe it holds great value.

Far too often I have gotten countless ways to lose weight through crazy diet tricks and yet after every conversation I ask why aren’t you doing it now?

Majority of the answers are it wasn’t sustainable.

That is my exact point and reason for this. I want to make sure that whatever advice I give for our members that it will be able to be used for the rest of their life.

It will actually be doable based off their schedule and lifestyle. If we can keep our nutritional guidance to a simpler method we will have a more likely chance to a more sustainable lifestyle which then leads to success.

In short term simple, sustainable, and successful 🧠.

- SA row tempos 1 + 1/4. 12/12x
- N pull ups failure 🤣

Had nothing left on the pull ups.
