Registration for fall rec soccer is now open at this link: https://system.gotsport.com/programs/N22553445

Cost is $60 for the season if you have jerseys. If you need jerseys those are $6 extra I believe (the registration system will tell you).

Open house is scheduled for Sept 14th starting at 5 pm at the York Soccer complex.

We will have U6, U8, U10 and a U13 league. The system will automatically sort them into their age group based on their birthday listed in the system. U6 will primarily be 4 and 5 year olds. U8 will be primarily 6 and 7 year olds. U10 will be primarily 8 and 9 year olds. U13 will be 10, 11 and 12 year olds.

If you have questions, send them directly through message versus posting them on the wall.

Registration closes Sept 10th.

While we're still in summer I want to give an early look at TENTATIVE dates for Fall YYS-Sting soccer. See the dates below for your planning purposes:

August 5th - Registration Opens
September 10th - Registration Closes
Sept 14 or Sept 15 - Open House/Meet Teams and Coaches
Sept 17 - Playdate 1
Sept 22 - Playdate 2
Sept 24 - Playdate 3
Sept 29 - Playdate 4
Oct 1 - Playdate 5
Oct 6 - Playdate 6
Oct 8 - Playdate 7
Oct 13 - Playdate 8
Oct 15 - Playdate 9

We are, likely, to again offer U6, U8, U10 and U13 teams. Any questions can be sent through the messenger function. Please don't use the public wall for basic Q & A. Things could shift based on registrations, but this is the plan for now.

One more date of games in this season, and I am getting some questions that could be considered normal end of season type of questions.

One of those questions is about lost items. I do not run a lost and found and thus far have not had anything turned into me. There was an individual who contacted me because she left behind a Stanley water bottle last night. My first recommendations here is to ask the individuals in the concessions stand but I am not making a guarantee they have accepted any items. My second recommendation is if you did lose something, you can reply on this thread with a picture or description of what you lost, and someone might say, "ooops my child brought that home accidentally."

Final thing, if you are a coach, please plan to turn in your bag of soccer balls to me after games on Thursday. If you know who I am, then find me, if not you can leave them by the sign that shows the map of the fields.

I am sure many people what would happen in case of inclement weather, which is a possibility for tonight. I will communicate cancellations two ways: 1. Through this page and 2. Through your respective coaches.

The goal would be to always wait until about 3:30 to make a decision. So I won't respond to questions until around that time. If games are on as scheduled then I won't post anything here. I will just post here if game schedules are altered in any way.

Finally, I have been directed that if we do have games cancelled on Tuesday or Thursday nights then we would try to make them up on Saturdays. Game reschedule decisions will be communicated through your coaches.

Schedules for all 4 leagues. Send me a direct message if you have a question. I'm not confident this is the best way to upload these, so I may change this later. Hopefully you have heard from your coach, or were able to come to Open House tonight.

Also, I don't know why the excel to jpg converter changed the spelling of May to Mai. But you get the idea.

If you haven't noticed yet, I will share as much information as possible through this page. So keep checking it and tell other parents to do the same. I want to put in one more plug for parents to attend the Open House tomorrow night. I have told each coach the same thing. Open House is at the Soccer complex from 5:30 - 7:00 pm.

Open House tomorrow has 3-4 objectives:

First objective is to give you time to meet your team. To do this, I want you to go to the field where you'll play. If you are a U6 coach, try to gather your team at the Yellow marked fields. U8 and U10 teams meet at the Red 1 and Red 2 fields. U14 meet around the Green fields. This will keep the area under the awning from getting congested. IMPORTANT: I am encouraging coaches to bring a simple handmade sign or something to identify their team name so parents can find coaches, but if you head to the respective field locations, it will make it easier.

Second objective is for me to distribute soccer balls to each team, so coaches, make sure you come meet me and get your bag of balls. I should be easy to find by the picnic tables standing by the jersey boxes.

Third objective is to make sure members of your team all have a blue and white jersey. Some kids will need jerseys, you should see myself, my wife and my son by the large tubs of jerseys in order to make sure players have what they need.

The York Dukes Boys Soccer Season Kick Off Camp scheduled for tonight has been cancelled due to weather. Note, this is NOT related to the Open House scheduled for tomorrow night.

Here is a chance for your child to get out and play a little before season starts. This is an event run by the high school.

There is an error in the GotSport registration system (which I do not control) that lists Open House as tonight. That is incorrect. It is not tonight. It is Thursday, April 2nd at 5:30 as posted on this page. Please check this page regularly for all updates throughout the season.

Update on spring soccer season. All coaches for all 4 age divisions (U6, U8, U10 and U 14) have been emailed their rosters and schedules as of 7 pm today. If you registered, you should hear from your coach regarding your child's team within 48 hours. If you don't, please message me and I will follow up with your coach.

Sometime soon (tomorrow or Tuesday), I will post schedules to this page, so they are public, but you can also get this information from your coach.

I want to again plug our Open House, which is scheduled for Thursday, April 2nd at 5:30 pm. This is a good time to come and get questions answered, pick up a jersey if you need them etc. I am encouraging all coaches to attend the Open House and try to meet their teams.
