Surf Re-Evolution returns on September 19th 🤙

What started as a small gathering of friends and surfers has grown into one of our favorite days of the year. This year feels a little extra special as we celebrate 100 years of the hollow wooden surfboards. We’ve always liked to say that we picked up where left off, so the 14th Surf Re-Evolution is dedicated to the construction method that inspired us and so many others around the world.

Expect inspiring speakers, hands-on workshops, incredible surfcraft, live music, good food, films, and a community that believes surfing can be a force for good.

Plenty of paipos for everyone! 🤙

Join us tomorrow from 4–6 PM at Long Sands (Webber Rd. access) for a chance to get any of these paipos in the water.

Whether you’ve ridden one before or are completely new to it, we’ll have boards ready to share and plenty of stoke to go around.

After the surf, head back to Grain for an evening of community, live music from , surf films from , and pizza on the house.

Most of our summer workshops are now full, but there are still a few spots available in our July 3-day Workshop, happening July 17–19.

Over the course of three days, you’ll build your own beautiful wooden surfboard while learning the techniques, design principles, and craftsmanship that go into creating a board built to last for generations.

Whether you’re an experienced woodworker or have never picked up a hand plane, we’ll guide you through every step of the process.

If you’ve been thinking about joining a workshop this summer, now’s the time. Spots are limited, and the remaining seats won’t last long.

First hang of the season is this week!

The Woodlot is our semi-regular community gathering at Grain—a chance to slow down, share a meal, and spend some time together outside the rush of everyday life.

On select Thursday evenings, we gather around the table to swap stories, enjoy good food, and maybe even roast a marshmallow by the fire. No agenda, no program, just community.

Our upcoming  Woodlot hangouts are June 4th, 18th, and 25th and go from 5pm-7pm right at our shop. 

Food is offered on a donation basis, and everyone is welcome. Come as you are, bring a friend and hangout.
