Congratulations Landsharks on your first round district win over Waverly Empire Netting & Fence Post 204 tonight!

It took an extra inning of a hard fought game on both sides to determine the winner, but Jamison’s sacrifice fly allowed Konrad to score the winning run in the bottom of the 8th!

The Landsharks will play again on Sunday at 12:30 in Waverly against the winner of Hickman Gana Trucking Post 105 and Crete Sid Dillon Post 147.

Last Home Game

Tonight isn't just another game.

It's the last time this summer you'll pull on this jersey at home, hear your name announced, joke with your teammates in the dugout, and step onto this field together. The scoreboard will eventually go dark. The chalk lines will wash away. The season will end.

But the memories won't.

Years from now, you probably won't remember every hit, every strikeout, or what the final score was. You'll remember the car rides, the batting practice competitions, the laughter in the dugout, the long summer nights under the lights, and the teammates who became lifelong friends.

So play this one with gratitude.

Hustle after every ball. Cheer a little louder. Pick up your teammates. Shake your coach's hand with appreciation. Look around before you leave the field-you'll never get this exact moment back.

Baseball has a way of teaching lessons that last far longer than the season:

⚾️ Show up when it matters.
⚾️ Do the little things right.
⚾️ Trust your teammates.
⚾️ Stay humble in success and resilient in failure.
⚾️ Leave the game better than you found it.

Whether your baseball journey continues in college or this is the last competitive season you ever play, remember this- the game doesn't define who you are. The character you've built through the game will.

Leave nothing in the tank tonight. Play hard! Play together! Have fun!

Because one day you'll wish you could play just one more game on this field.

The Fairbury Legion Baseball leadership is working with the City of Fairbury to replace the field lights and poles on our baseball field. The project will include new wooden poles, all new underground wiring, a new breaker box, and modern LED lights! These lights will be much brighter and safer for our players.

The total cost of the project is $160,000. The City of Fairbury has secured an $80,000 Federal Grant which will cover half of the project. The deadline to complete this project is October 31st, 2026.

Fairbury Legion Baseball is in the process of raising money to help fund this much needed improvement. If you are interested in supporting this project, please contact:
