Please be advised that we have changed the location of the open tournament on October 31st from Marburg to Pinchot. This is due to the increasingly low water conditions at Marburg. Our electronic sign-up will reflect this new location. We only have one team signed up in advance for this tournament at this point. No bonuses for guessing who that is. Ha Ha. I assume they will not want to withdraw their application due to the location change. Thanks again for all your support this year. If no one catches a 6lb bass at Long Arm on the September 5th open, at the October 31st open at Pinchot, we will award more than $1200.00 to a big fish, regardless if it is 6lb or not. You have to be in the 6lb pool to win that money and all previous entries this year get a free entry into the 6lb pool for the last tournament at Pinchot on October 31st. Hope to see you out there.

We want to thank everyone who came out for the Midnight Madness tournament at Marburg on Friday evening. 22 teams showed up to navigate the darkness and put up with the extreem low water conditions. Congrats to the team of Traband and Hansford who took top honors with a 17.69 bag. L. Hansford and S. Hansford took 2nd with 16.51 lbs. In 3rd place was the team of Prince and Miller with 14.67. 4th place was the solo effort of Alex Smith who caught 13.42. 1st lunker was 5.49 lbs caught by L. Hansford and S. Hansford. 2nd lunker was 5.02 caught by Alex Smith. There was no 6lb fish caught. As such that prize money rolls over to the next tournament. Currently there is $1180.00 in that pool. Next open tournament is at Long Arm on September 5th.

As a reminder, if the biggest fish of the tournament tonight weighs more than 6lbs, you will get at least $800.00. So get in the tournament and get in the 6 lb pool for your chance to win at least $800.00 for one big fish. Hope to see you out there. Spread the word.

We are still having the open tournament this Friday at Marburg. Be advised that due to the low water conditions, some dual axle trailers or larger boats may have a hard time launching out of the main boat launch. As such, we will split the launch locations for this tournament. Mason Dixon will set up operations over at Smith Station boat launch and manage the tournament from there. There probably is not enough parking at smith station for everyone. If you have a smaller boat, please launch out of the main boat launch and travel over to smith station. Larger boats please use the smith station launch. If we run out of parking at smith station, you can launch there anyway and park down the hill in front of the main park office. Mason Dixon will transport people back to their boats if necessary. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding so we can still hold this event. Please spread this word around. We would not want people to show up at the main boat launch and think the tournament is not happening.

Mason Dixon hopes everyone had a blessed Easter yesterday. We appreciate the 29 boats that showed up at Pinchot this past Saturday. We had great weather. A few of us, especially me, expected that there would be a 6lb fish caught but the big fish was a 4.68 that was caught by the team of Yohe and Bowers. That means there is a carry over for the 6lb bonus money. Currently there is $760.00 in that prize pool.

Congrats to the team of Yohe and Bowers who weighed in 14.67 for first place. The team of Dravk and Senft got 2nd place with a bag of 13.83. Third place went to L. Hansford and S. Hansford with 10.46. 2nd lunker went to Holewinski and Bays with a 4.54.

The next open tournament is our midnight madness overnight tournament at Marburg on August 14th. Launch time is 7 PM. Hope to see you all out there.

Looks like the weather report for Saturday has improved. Calm winds in the morning and 9 MPH by the afternoon. No chance of rain at this time. High of 81 degrees and mostly sunny after a 3-day period of mostly cloudy. Plenty of slots left for the April 4th open at Pinchot. Hope to see you out there.

The next open tournament is at Pinchot in just over a week, Saturday April 4th. Registering in advance gets you a lower boat number. No 6lb bonus was paid out at the last tournament. Might be time to collect a big pay-day on a fat fish.

I can't tell you how much we appreciate everyone who showed up Saturday for our first open tournament of the season. It was ridiculous windy. We could not even sit up the table and canopy. We had to work out of the trailer. I think everyone thought this was one of Chad's lunker tournaments. Everyone weighed in just 1 fish. Congrats to the team of Traband and E. Hansford who got the big fish and 1st place with a 5.61. Right behind them with the closest weight I ever processed was Prince and Miller with a 5.60. Hope to see you all at Pinchot on April 4th in just 3 weeks.

Good morning fishing fans. The ice is completely off of Marburg. The tournament is on for this coming Saturday. This is the first weekend where the ice is off the water. Traditionally a great time to catch one of those big females. They have been trapped under the ice for the winter and I'm sure they are hungry. The weather is projected to be pretty decent for this time of year. No rain and mostly sunny. High temperatures near 50 by the afternoon. Hope to see you out there. Spread the word.
