Got the #65 Chevy out for the first race of the season yesterday at Baps Motor Speedway! It was a very hot day to race and we had alittle overheating issue during hot laps but we did some adjustments with timing and got the engine cooled down enough to compete in the feature. Got all the way up to a Top 5 situation with under 5 laps left and the back right tire goes down… we threw everything we had on the track and easily had a top 3 car but bad luck beat us to the checked flag… going to re collect and get at it next race! Had a successful first practice at BAPS! was able to get 2 practice runs in Saturday afternoon to collect the data we need to get this #65 Chevy ready for the first race of the season! 🏁 🏎

Here is some of Erika’s race needless to say she is getting better but still has some things to learn but she is definitely making progress in the right direction. Ps watch till the end she goes for a little ride lol

Well needless to say our 7th place finish wasn’t what we expected to end the season, but Erika never gave up and we finished the race. Car was fast, just a tough race and a lot of kids going for 1st at one time. We had a great weekend and can’t wait to see what next year has in store,stay tuned for updates throughout the off season.
