Agamenticus Yacht Club

Agamenticus Yacht Club In 1937 members of York's summer community created Agamenticus Yacht Club. They named it for the nearby mountain- an important landmark for mariners.

At its founding AYC was the organizing body for local races. In the 1950s members added a junior sailing program. Today junior sailing is the core of our program. We offer two 4 week sessions of children's sailing lessons. These classes are intended to teach children not only to sail, but also to enjoy and understand the water they live by. AYC also has a strong and active membership. Members sha

re the club's kayaks, sailing dinghies, and J22 sloops. Visit us anytime from 9-6 (10-6 on weekends) to find out more! We're at the end of Simpson Lane, along Fisherman's Walk.

Cooper Woods won the Caroline Marshall Award for enthusiasm and outstanding sportsmanship in racing!

Nico Melchor won the Moreene Trophy for best intermediate sailor!

Rowan Bell won the John Finley III Award for best beginner 2 sailor!

Henry Kingsberry won the Robert .G Fuller Award for best beginner sailor!

Eben and Quentin won the Burgee Board Award!
