CONGRATULTIONS to our Mixed Aces Team who were the FINALISTS in the USTA Eastern 6.0 Mixed Doubles Section Championship!!! They tied for first place and it came down to one set. Unfortunately, it didn’t go their way today.

But what an AMAZING run! We are so incredibly PROUD of you all, showing so much toughness, determination, resilience, energy and teamwork! THANK YOU for representing YTC so well and leaving it all on the court!

Cheers to an unforgettable experience and so much fun battling all weekend! Shout out to Coach Vito and Captain Elly for bringing the team together and leading with positivity!

Our Mixed Aces won 2 of 3 courts in the first match this afternoon against New Jersey, and 3 of 3 courts in the second match against the Northern Team Albany. Overall, they are 4-0! The team plays Sunday morning against Long Island. Let’s keep it going! 🎉👏🎾💪

What a fantastic start to the Sectional Championships at the Donald Van Blake Tennis Center, in Plainfield, NJ!

Our first match of the day was against the Western Team from Rochester. The YTC Mixed Aces came out strong, winning 2 of 3 courts to earn our first team victory of the tournament.

We carried that momentum into our second match against the Metro Team from NYC, once again winning 2 of 3 courts to secure another impressive team win.

With a real-feel temperature soaring above 100 degrees on the courts, our players showed incredible toughness, determination, and resilience. Despite the challenging conditions, they battled through and played some outstanding tennis.

A huge congratulations to all of our players and to our team coach, Vito, for an exceptional effort and a tremendous Day 1 performance!

The YTC Mixed Aces head into Day 2 sitting in first place. Next up: New Jersey and Northern.
