57 Border.Collies We raise and start Border Collies primarily for working cattle, but want a dog capable of working any kind of stock.

Looking for strong dogs with presence and the ability to read and cover their stock.

Some friends brought dogs over to work yesterday, so The Little Monster (aka Eight) got to take a turn, too...

Needless to say, she took immediate charge of the situation.... 😅😅

Went to the NCTA trial in Curtis, NE this past weekend, had a great time with a really good group of people.

This is Sloan's Nursery run on the second day. She drew a good set and was really listening, did a great job to come in second... 👍

The rest of the dogs had a good weekend except for Six; she drew a heifer that wanted to kill her the first day, it got in her head and she was a nervous mess the second day. All I could do was try to keep her engaged and make her listen, but she was really questioning just what the heck we were doing out there with no backup in sight... 😅

Duane and Jed had a super run in the Open on Day 2, just the right combination of dog, cattle, and luck to pull off the win. No video, (of course 🙄) but it was amazing!! 👍 😎

Shane and Rev also came to play and ran really well, all three were in the top of the Open on Day 2...

Anyway, here's Sloan in Nursery, looking forward to more like it... 👍

Seriously though, I do really like that about these pups. They're typical excited puppies when I let them out in the morning, but they're busy and not hyper. 👍

When I took this, they'd been out playing for about 30 or 40 minutes in the yard and all over the steps. Then they all gravitated up to the porch and sacked out while I finished my coffee.... 🙂

A friend brought his pup, Bill (Jed x Rev pup), over yesterday for a check ride. 🙂

Pup just turned a year old and he's got him listening pretty well. I like him quite a bit, think he'll make a nice dog. 👍
