This is just a heads up to all that as of today (July 1st) new fishing regulations take effect on the Buffalo River. The daily limit of Smallmouth is now 1 fish. Each fish must be 15” long to be considered legal. This rule applies to the entire length of the river for all 11 Blue Ribbon Streams. For all other non-Blue Ribbon streams the limit has been lowered to 2 fish with each requiring a 12” minimum length to be legal. Catch and release is the best way to guarantee a good day on the water for years to come. Lots of other good eating fish in the stream. Please consider letting the smallies live to fight another day!
