🚴 Rider Spotlight!🚴
One of the best parts of the Young's Charity Bike Tour is the people who make it special. Every rider has a unique reason for participating, and we're excited to share their stories leading up to this year's ride.
This week's Rider Spotlight features Dan Young, one of the many incredible participants who help make the Young's Charity Bike Tour such a special event. Here's why he rides:
“This year marks the 24th annual Young's Jersey Dairy Charity Bike Tour, and once again I'll be in the saddle raising money for four organizations that make a real difference in our community — the Alzheimer's Association, Breakthrough T1D, South Community Behavioral Health, and United Rehabilitation Services.
I ride for a lot of reasons, but one is deeply personal. I lost my father, Bob, to Alzheimer's disease. Every mile I pedal is in his memory, and in honor of every family navigating that heartbreak right now. The Alzheimer's Association and our other charity partners provide vital services, resources, and support to real people in our community — our neighbors, our friends, our families.
Over 23 years, this ride has raised nearly $1.8 million. This year, we're pushing toward $2 million lifetime — and every dollar gets us closer.
Would you consider making a donation in support of my ride? No gift is too small. Every contribution is a statement that these causes matter and that our community shows up for one another.
Thank you — truly — for your kindness and generosity.
