What a game for our Yarmouth 10U All-Stars! 💙🥎
On Monday night, the girls found themselves trailing a tough Westbrook team 8-1 heading into the 6th inning. But this team never quit! Yarmouth came out swinging, plating 7 runs in the final inning to tie the game 8-8 and complete an incredible comeback.
With darkness setting in, the umpires suspended play and the game resumed Tuesday evening. After an exciting extra-inning battle, Yarmouth ultimately fell 13-10 in 8 innings.
A huge shoutout to pitchers Sloane Magee and Luna Meier for their strong performances in the circle. The team played outstanding defense, executed some excellent bunts, and put together quality at-bats throughout the game.
We're proud of the grit, determination, and teamwork these girls showed all the way to the final out!
The 10U All-Stars are back in action on June 22 at 5:30 PM in Falmouth. Come cheer them on!

In what is now a yearly tradition, the Softball Farm Teams came together to play one final scrimmage of the season, and then celebrate all the pitching, hitting, throwing and sliding with a pizza party afterward! Thanks to all the families and volunteers that made this Farm season so much fun. We can't wait to see where these girls go in the future!

What a great Title Game in both Majors and Minors today. Both were low scoring pitchers' duels, with fantastic defense and clutch hitting.

In Majors, Hancock led most of the game, but Maguire staged a furious comeback to grab a lead in the top of the sixth inning off a massive clutch double by Theo Woodbury, putting them in a position to win. But Hancock refused to die, and in the bottom of the sixth stormed back on a double by Abel grant, tying the score up at 5-5. After the bases were loaded, Colton Bogart stepped up to the plate and smashed a walk off single to left-center which allowed the winning run to come in and Hancock to win the Championship 6-5.

In Minors, starter Cole Nee was the story, going 5 2/3 innings while only allowing 4 hits, and striking out 6 batters, holding rival Portland Volvo to 2 runs. Kennebec's offense came alive in the bottom of the second highlighted by a smash triple by Gabriel Echanique that gave Kennebec a 4-0 lead. Those runs would be enough as Kennebec was able to hold off a late rally by Portland Volvo, and secure the win.

Great job to everyone on all four teams this morning, and Congratulations to our winning teams. Now on to All Stars!!

Tonight was an epic battle on DeLorme between two teams that have been going back and forth all year. Coutts rode fantastic pitching from Carson Heller and Paxton Ryan to hold furious Firemen rallies at bay, while their offense was able to grab a lead in the 2nd and then storm back in the bottom of the 5th.

But Fire and Rescue couldn't be denied. Owen Gagnon was hard to hit, striking out 9 batters and getting into the 5th inning before turning things over to ace closer Alex Fox. After Coutts stormed back to tie the game, the bottom of Fire and Rescue's order came alive, getting on base, with Max Wingard driving in the go ahead run on a single in the top of the sixth.

Fox came back out for the bottom of the sixth and struck out the side to seal the 10-9 win. Incredible performance from both Coutts and the Firemen.

Fire takes on Maguire on Thursday for the right to play in the championship Saturday.

In our final Minors softball game of the year, we saw a real gem.

It was a Battle of the Titans, with starters Sloane Magee and Luna Meier both going the distance in a six inning pitcher's duel, with both girls firing strikes and getting big outs in huge spots. Great defense and timely hitting made this one close to the end.

But Centerline was able to do just enough to grab a late lead, and ultimately pulled it off to win the game 8-5 in six.

Congratulations to all the girls from both teams on a truly epic finale! And congratulations to to Centerline for being crowned the YLL Minors Softball Regular Season Champions!
