Hot bite in Hyannis last night, I scooped the wife, grabbed the gear, and pinned the throttles straight to the spot. We arrived on scene ready to do battle, but things were subtle at first. We pushed on knowing that there was action to be had. The morning dragged out with not much sign of hope and as we approached midday a bit of worry was setting in. We continued to push on into the afternoon knowing leaving wasn’t an option and surely something would show. As the sun began to dip over the horizon things started to pick up. More people began showing up on scene as activity continued to build. Finally, the opportunity we were looking for. With Jen at the bow, words of encouragement coming from the helm, she fired the perfect shot. Tight!!!!! The fight was epic as the beast fought to stay out of sight. Finally, after lots of heavy breathing his head appeared from under the bow. What a sight!!!! I knew he was big but not like this. As I handed him off to Jen, I knew he was a catch of a lifetime. After a hug that’ll I’ll remember the rest of my life, I was excited to see just how big he was. We headed for an official scale just incase it was some sort of record. He taped out a hair over 22 inches and tipped the scale 10lbs .05oz. 10 pounds!!! Certainly the biggest I’ve ever seen and one I’ll never forget. Welcome to the world Levi Godoi, I can’t wait to make our own fishing reports one day!
