If your 2024 Resolution list is a mile long, completely changes your daily routine and lifestyle, attempts to extinguish ALLLL your less healthy habits and vices and scares the heck out of you— Stop right now!

Edit that lists of resolutions in a realistic and attainable fashion!

For example…….

Instead of

❌ After NYE I’m Quitting smoking entirely ! TRY 🟢 I’m going to start cutting back on to***co, with a goal of being smoke free by July.

❌ I’m going to throw out all my junk food and eat as clean as possible……TRY 🟢 I’m going to add 25g of protein to every meal and come up with some “snack swaps” that are a better choice.

❌ I’m going to the gym everyday for 2 hours! TRY 🟢 I’m going to schedule workouts into my calendar, and do X amount of cardio minutes each week.

❌ I’m going to be happy, stop caring so much what people think and change my outlook TRY 🟢 I’m going to make a therapist appointment and figure some things out.

Let’s be realistic! It is OK to enjoy all the holiday traditions including the food.

However, it is also okay to set goals and make promises to yourself, especially if you are prone to falling off the rails completely and staying off track for extended periods of time.

During vacations and holidays I try and stick to a few basic health and fitness principals….:

1. 🍗🥩 Eat 1g of protein per pound of lean mass (this is about 145-150g of protein a day)

2. 💧💧💧Drink 128oz of water plus 1 water or club soda per alcoholic drink (your girl loves tequila 🤫)

3. 💪🏼🏋🏼‍♀️ Lift and do cardio as I would any other week (5x) except Christmas 🎄

4. No shaming myself for enjoying and indulging, it’s a holiday after all.

For the love of God, this fitness myth is absolutely untrue.

Lifting weights will not make a women look more masculine.

(unless they want to in which most would take excessive amounts of testosterone to achieve).

In fact, lifting weights will create a smaller waist, rounded glutes, a sculpted back which is essentially the “hourglass figure”.

You have to work hard, eat a healthy, balanced diet and be patient to build muscle; there is simply no other way.

Remember that you will likely gain more muscle during the initial one to three months of training, but gain less after that.

Women typically produce more estrogen and less testosterone than men, which is why men often have an easier time with visible muscle.

All systems GO! You only get one body. Treat it like something you don’t want to break down on you.

Don’t compare yourself to the fit-it girls.

Most of the higher ups in professional bodybuilding are on tons of different steroids and weight loss drugs.

Most of the fitness models are on diets so strict that they are in a constant caloric deficit and likely feel hungry and tired constantly.

People in fitness ads are usually photoshopped or have been cycling through a front load or back load a water load or a prescription strength dietetic to look as ripped as possible for the day of their shoot

There is so much bu****it in the fitness industry.

Just keep on working and you’ll get where you want to be. There is no quick fix, no overnight cure, no short cuts.

Be consistent and patient.

Endorphins.
ATP output.
Growth Hormone (HGH)
Cortisol
Adrenaline
Testosterone
Glucagon
Norphenephrine
Insulin
Prolactin

All of these hormones release when we exercise. Some rise (atp, HGH, test) some lower (insulin, cortisol)

But they are all effected by how often we train.
