Congratulations to Milan Pinzon on being selected to the All-American Games! 🇺🇸⭐️

Not every impact shows up in the stat sheet, and Milan proved that all tournament long. She battled in every at-bat, put the ball in play, and found ways to help her team compete.

🥎 At the Plate:
Milan consistently put the ball in play and challenged the defense every time she stepped into the batter’s box. Her determination and competitive mindset never wavered.

🔥 In the Circle:
This is where Milan truly shined. She dominated on the mound, attacking hitters, throwing strikes, and giving her team a chance to win every inning she was out there. Her poise, confidence, and toughness were on full display.

Championship teams need players who do whatever it takes to help their team succeed, and Milan was exactly that player.

Zoey put together an outstanding performance and was a difference-maker every time she stepped on the field! 💪🔥

This Southern Slugger traded her softball glove for a roofing hammer yesterday and reported for roof duty during Impact Yadkin!

Impact Yadkin is an incredible county-wide mission effort that brings together volunteers from churches across Yadkin County to serve families in need through home repairs, community outreach, and sharing the love of Christ.

From tearing off old shingles to helping install a brand-new roof, Adalyne spent her week making a difference in the life of someone else. That’s what being a Southern Slugger is all about—developing strong athletes, but more importantly, strong young women who lead through service.

We are proud of the hard work, selflessness, and heart she showed while serving her community. Way to go Adalyne!

We are excited to officially welcome Makinna Swaim to the Southern Sluggers family!

Makinna is a 2026 graduate of Starmount High School and will continue her academic and softball career this fall at Pfeiffer University. As a talented pitcher and first baseman, she brings years of playing experience, a strong work ethic, and a passion for the game.

More importantly, Makinna is committed to helping young athletes develop confidence, strong fundamentals, and a love for softball that extends beyond the field. Her positive attitude and dedication to player development make her a tremendous addition to our coaching staff.

We are excited to officially welcome Ashlyn to the Southern Sluggers 12u Coaching Staff!

Ashlyn is a Senior at Starmount High School, committed to continue her academic and softball career at Salem College. As a talented catcher and utility player, she brings valuable experience, leadership, and a passion for the game to our program.

Her dedication to helping young athletes develop strong fundamentals, build confidence, and grow both on and off the field makes her a perfect fit for the Sluggers family. We know our players will benefit greatly from her knowledge, energy, and love for softball.

Yesterday was a long, hot day in the June heat for our 12u Sluggers. From early morning warmups to the final out, these girls battled all day long and never stopped competing.

We may not have brought home the championship hardware this weekend, but we did bring home a 3rd Place finish in the Gold Bracket and another step forward in our journey as a team.

This group continues to grow, improve, and learn what it takes to compete at a high level. They fought back, rallied when it mattered, and showed the heart and toughness that make us proud to wear Southern Sluggers across our chest.

Our time is coming. We can feel it. Until then, we’ll keep working, keep growing, and keep conquering one Gold Bracket at a time.

Another one in the win column! 🥎💪

The Southern Sluggers battled their way to a 10-9 victory in Game 2, showing grit and determination from first pitch to final out!

With the win, we’ve earned the #3 seed in the Gold Bracket and now turn our attention to bracket play. The competition gets tougher from here, but this team is ready for the challenge.
