Thanks to everyone who participated in our Trainer Calf Scramble this summer—we were proud to award three $500 scholarships to outstanding youth riders. 💙

First up: Tristan Cox. Tristan lives in Wytheville, Virginia, and began showing reined cowhorses at the age of 14. Tristan is a wonderful representative of our sport and our community, and his scholarship essay captured the heart of our discipline:

"I have been blessed to be able to learn from a number of incredible trainers on the east coast. It always blows me away how willing every trainer is to help anyone who they see is struggling or who asks them. This has been a principle that I have tried to apply in my own life, how we are all better off if we are willing to help one another, even if we're competing against each other in the show pen or from different teams. There are several of our east coast trainers who I would consider role models in my personal life."

This young lady wrapped up the end of her lesson today with a brief spin on Tristan's finished reined cow horse, Almosta Stylish Cat. Get them on board early! Way to go Ada!
