Congratulations to the Reading Phillies winning the Championship. I can remember going to that stadium when they still had wood bleachers.. I would go there with Kevin King and we would stand there and get foul balls and we’d see players like Ricky Jordan Juan Samuel Julio Franco, right there 20 feet away from us. They were larger than life.
When you go to the stadium now, you can see why it’s the number one minor-league menu in the country
They’re so involved with the community in the youth teams which is a testament to them understanding exactly how important they are.

Many years ago, I got to help run the first youth clinic they ran with the help of other coaches from PLAYBALL and I got to watch the interaction of the players with the young kids. How their eyes lit up getting to play catch with them or running drills with them. Those players made these kids dreams come true that day.

My son also got to experience that field playing for his high school team, as well as his Legion team and some travel teams as they are always willing to help promote youth baseball. And those kids playing the games on those fields also left the lasting impression.

Congratulations to the organization because you’re number one in the country for a reason.

After the championship channel 69 news reached out to do just a quick little talk about the championship. So I just wanted to share the little video.

We want to take a moment to thank everyone who supported the Sandlot Merchants throughout an unforgettable 2026 season!

To our families, fans, sponsors, friends, and everyone in the fastpitch community — your support means more to our players and staff than you know.

2026 was a special year for Sandlot:
🏆 Rodney Fox Memorial Champions — Back-to-Back
🏆 Elkland Molly Sherman Memorial Champions — Back-to-Back
🏆 Au Sable Invitational Champions
🏆 Elkland Gary Sherman Tournament Champions Back-to-Back-to-Back
🏆 ISC World Tournament — 5th Place (9th in 2025)

We’re proud of what this team has accomplished — and we’re not finished.
Sandlot plans to return to the ISC World Tournament in 2027 and 2028, but continuing to compete at this level requires significant travel, lodging, and other team expenses.

As we prepare for 2027, we are looking for businesses, organizations, softball fans, and individuals who would like to become part of the Sandlot Merchants family.

Every bit of support makes a difference. If you or your business is interested in sponsoring Sandlot for the 2027 season, please send us a message through Facebook Messenger. We would love the opportunity to talk with you.

Thank you again to everyone who has believed in and supported Sandlot over the past years.

Stay Hot Sandlot.
Be Better.

This summers program exceeded expectations. Over 60 individual workouts a week designed purposely for their specific sport. This fall we look to continue the players development.

The off-season allows time to dedicate resources to learning to move properly, build muscle, work on mobility, and power training. This is the groundwork for improving performance and excelling at sport once competition season returns.
