What is the difference between developmental swim and swim team? Developmental swim focuses on the basics of the stroke development. The regular competition practices focus on building upon the foundational skills of the developmental group with more specific attention on competition preparation. Developmental swimmers can and should still compete in dual meets provided they are able to fini
sh the 25 meter length of the pool without assistance.
8 and under need to swim 25 Meters, 9 year olds and up need to swim 50 Meters to compete.
