Just to let you all know, Sensei Yamash*ta's seminars scheduled for April 17 & 18 have been rescheduled and will now be held on May 29 & 30. Same plan, 29th kobudo (weapons) in Newaygo (k**a) and 30th empty hand in Grand Rapids. More details will follow around the end of April.

A foreign exchange student who loves martial arts, especially jiu-jitsu is looking for a host family for the 2026-2027 school year here in SW Michigan.
🇧🇷 Meet Nycolle from Brazil!
She is a motivated and passionate 17 year old who will be turning 18 in August and studying her senior year here in SW Michigan. She knows Portuguese and English, is Christian and interested in attending church with her host family. Nycolle loves martial arts, boxing, fitness, cooking, and reading. She has been practicing jiu-jitsu for 3 years and would love to continue practicing while living in America. The three words she chose to best describe herself are Quiet, Sporty and Active.

As of right now we are planning on being open tomorrow (Saturday, January 24) for our regular schedule -BUT- just to be sure check in the morning either on ProKarate Grand Rapids or PK Boxing Gym. I'll post by 8:00 AM if we are going to close.

Friday, January 23 we will not be running our usual schedule. The 3:30 PM KCJC Boxing workout and 5:00 "New Guy Sparring" are cancelled for tomorrow. Sorry guys!

OK, ProKarate Grand Rapids and PK Boxing Gym will be closed this evening (January 20) due to the weather. Tomorrow is going to be warmer, and the roads should be better as the salt will be working. Remember our inclement weather policy: "If Wyoming Public Schools are closed, we might be closed." You should always check Facebook or just call, and the voice message will say if we are open or closed.
