We have been working on some of the rules and classes. It’s kind of hard to make everyone happy at this point because so many tractors were altered and don’t really fit in any class anymore. Over powered for one class, underpowered for the other. We are still working those parts out. Here is what we have now though.
We will have kids 800 and 900. Adult 900-1100. There will not be anymore 700 because it just opens up cheating. Very few kids actually weigh 700 and maybe one adult/tractor combo actually weigh 700. No kids under the age of 4 can be on a tractor. 4-15 years old will be considered kids.
Tractors will compete against their own powertrain. Belt drive classes and clutch drive will now be divided. This will be for stock, altered, and V-Twin.
To keep up with the times, there will be a stock V-Twin class. This will be V-Twin 25hp or less. Any modification to engine, any at all will be excluded from this class and require to be in the regular V-Twin class.
Stock classes will be 10-14hp, 15-18hp. Must be single cylinder or opposed 2 cylinder.
Altered and twin classes are staying almost unchanged.
There will no longer be a measurement rule on exhaust pipes.
The biggest rule change will be how tractors and entrees are done The tractor will be registered with Joe McCormick and Dan Howell only. The tractor only has to be registered once. When entering, you enter the tractor’s name. You can name or number your tractor. We need to know the tractor that is entered, not who the driver is. Any modification made throughout the year need reported to see if you need to be in a different class.
This is were we are at for now. There is still a lot of minor rules that will be added soon. We will also post the existing rules very soon as well. The people who have been pulling understand all this so we will work on getting the old rules posted soon.
Lastly, any form of blatant cheating will get you banned from the group immediately with no chance of return. Any questions just ask. Any misunderstanding of rules just simply ask.
