Please take note of our adjusted schedule for the holiday weekend.

Friday: Little Kids at 4:30 PM
Saturday: Open Mat at 11 AM
Monday: Labor Day Open Mat at 11 AM — all regular classes canceled.

Open Mat is open to all affiliations with no mat fee. Everyone is welcome!

A promotion is more than a new belt or stripe. It represents the commitment made by the student, their family, their professors, instructors, and every teammate who helps them grow along the way.

Every round, every lesson, every ride to practice, every word of encouragement, and every person who shares the mats plays a part in someone’s journey.

No one earns it alone.

As a family, we grow together, we push one another, and we’re there for each other every step of the way.

Little Kids crew.

Another packed Friday on the mats with our 6–8 year olds.

Watching this program continue to grow has been special. Different personalities, different levels, boys and girls, all learning together, building confidence, making friends and getting better every week.

Tomorrow we get to celebrate their hard work alongside the other kids and adults at our belt promotions. Proud of this group.

They might be our smallest students, but this is where some of the biggest lessons begin.

Learning how to listen. How to work with others. How to be confident. How to win, lose, get back up, and try again.

Most importantly, learning that the people standing next to you on the mats are your teammates.

Watching these little personalities grow together is one of my favorite parts of what we do at VA.

Every training partner pushes you, challenges you, and helps you become a little better than you were yesterday.

On the mats, it doesn't matter what you do for a living. Police officers, business owners, teachers, engineers, parents, and students all come together with the same goal: to learn, grow, and help each other improve.

Before long, teammates become friends, and the academy becomes a second home.

That's the culture we're building at VA Academy.
