Drill Interval Training, is taking all lessons and group clinics to the NEXT LEVEL. Our non-stop drill training progression tackles each mechanic piece by piece to create a strong athlete physically and mentally. C.U.D.I.T™ has been proven to be beyond effective since 2011. All Challenge U. athletes experience an elite session with drill progression interval training, physical skill advancement, and mental toughness work throughout. Challenge U. Softball® formerly known as Diamond Academy Softball Training opened in Westwood NJ in July 2011 with owner/founder Coach Lisa. Prior to the doors opening at Challenge U., Coach Lisa launched Mobile Softball Training since 2007. M.S.T was an outdoor based softball training company in which M.S.T trainers would travel throughout northern/central NJ to train athletes on their home turf defensively and offensively. After its 4th year in business, the dirt became turf when the doors of Challenge U. Softball® were opened. PRESENT:
Although Mobile Softball Training was a great success in training softball athletes; Challenge U. Softball® has taken instruction to the next level. Drill Interval Training, is the highest level of sports training certification to achieve max results. All coaches train an identical non-stop drill progression system targeting physical and mental skill work created by founder, Lisa Rizzo. trainers are all former softball stars which separates Challenge U. from the rest, being relatable to the athlete & strong female role models. With a true passion and daily yearn for expanded softball knowledge, Challenge U. Softball® has been featured in The Record, NJ Biz Newspaper, partner of The Coaches Insider Newsletter alongside LSU and ASU, NCSA feature tutorial, partner with The National Scouting Report and signed coach for CoachTube worldwide. Founder, Coach Lisa, is a featured guest speaker alongside LSU, ASU, USA Softball at the national Be The Best Coaches Convention with topics including “90% of the Game is Mental” and “Hitting Drills 1 Pitch at a Time”
FUTURE:
Our goal at Challenge U. Softball® is to train females across the nation mentally and physically. Our true pride is watching our athlete get more consistent in the game AND feeling more confident within herself as a young adult. When people talk about sports, they usually mention the physical aspects of softball such as, hitting, arm-strength, and power. Although, the physical game is important, the mental game will take the player to the next level. We strive to achieve a high level of skill AND mental toughness in EVERY Challenge U. Softball® holds an average of 200 outdoor training camps yearly with certified training teams located in Central NJ, Northern NJ, CT, NY hold outdoor training camps. The future for Challenge U.
