The Joy of Motion provides classes designed to enhance children’s strength, flexibility, coordination, muscle control, and self-expression through dance-related movements and pre-gymnastic skill building exercises. This child-centered, holistic program is designed to positively impact many components of a child’s growth and development, bolstering physical competency as well as enhancing cognitive functioning and empowering emotional well-being. The Joy of Motion provides a creative outlet for children to explore the depths of their own imaginations through movement and song in a positive, open environment where children’s actions are validated and positively reinforced by peers and teachers, alike. The class also creates a fun positive image of exercise, in general, as the children explore the arts of dance and gymnastics at a level that is developmentally appropriate for them.
