Forgot to post pics of a few knives before I took them to Texas to the knife show. Just been busy so here they are. This one is 3,780 layers of 1095 and 15N20 carbon steel on the blade with a acrylic stabilized Curly Koa handle and fluted bronze ferrule.

Here is another damascus blade made in a traditional Japanese technique called Gomai. The core or cutting edge of the blade is 220 layers of 15N20 and 1095 high carbon steel offset by a thick layer of 1095 and 15N20 on each side to create some contrast in color. The handle is red stag antler from Europe with iron wood and Micarta spacers and brass fittings.

Still getting stuff done, even if the weather is not cooperating. Put the finishing touches on this antler handled damascus skinning knife. The blade is 216 layers of 1095 and 15N20. The handle is whitetail deer antler with ironwood and red micarta spacers. Yall stay warm and happy Valentine's Day !!!

Been super busy lately but I've made some time in the workshop for Christmas orders. Blacksmith knives seem to be the thing this year so here is a few I've been working on. The steel is 52100 ball bearing steel.

It just occurred to me that I haven't posted anything on here for a little while so here's some of what I've been up to in the shop here lately. It is a "Japanese Gomai" construction skinning knife,which means the blade is 5 layers laminated. The core steel is 432 layer damascus with 15N20 chromium steel right next to it creating the wavy line on the side of the blade contrasted by another layer of 1095 high carbon steel on the outsides of the blade. The handle is whitetail antler with brass fittings and Koa wood spacers.

Ok,with the holidays around the corner it's never too early to start working on that Christmas shopping. Here is a new product I am making available at a super low price. These are premium fire starting ferro rods with beautiful custom wood handles. They are perfect stocking stuffers and excellent to add to your outdoor survival or hunting gear... dimensions are 6 1/2 inches long by 1/2 inch rod diameter, starting price is $25.00 each.

Fresh off the workbench,hand forged here in shop multibar twist Damascus blade of 205 layers made from old circular saw blade and 15N20 high carbon steel. Guard is wrot iron salvaged from an old wagon wheel from the mid-1800's. The wood is acrylic stabilized Redwood burl from California. Hope y'all like it !!!

Lots of hours in this build,but very pleased with the outcome. Blade steel is 01-tool steel,handle is ironwood and Afzelia Xylay with brass hardware and genuine ivory inlay. This one has been a blast to build and I cant wait to get it to it's new home in the big state of Texas !!! I know the owner will get many years of good use out of this one.
