The 9am class is rather full.

I have more available space in the 10am and 6pm classes.

I'm not opposed to starting up other class times, and will update this post if that takes place.

I am looking to run some week-long Beginner Youth Strength Training classes (12 and under) starting in July, as I have some trips planned for June. More on that to come.

I do all the workout planning, I track your other in a notebook, and rotate exercises on a regular basis.

I work with people of all ages, from youth lifters to adults. I work with athletes from all sports, as well as adults who just want to get in better shape.

Got injuries? No problem at all. We will work around them.

With the school year over and the Summer here, athletes can put together close to 3 months of training to build strength for the upcoming year without having to worry about practices, games, and tournaments.

At Peak Strength and Fitness, I've got an afternoon class, starting at 315pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday where the program is focused on youth athletes and beginner level strength training.

Each class runs between 50-60 minutes and is focused on basic strength training, muscular endurance, core strength, and other specific goals important to the lifter's development.

Depending on the sport and the athlete's injury history, special attention is given to certain areas. For instance, wrestlers and football players, as well as athletes with past concussion histories, perform neck training with the goal of preventing trauma down the line.

If the sport includes a bat, racket, or intense grip demand, grip training is included on a regular basis.

Because the core is so important to athletic performance and overall strength, workouts includes daily abdominal, lower back and hip work.

And with today's increased use of phones, computers and excessive sitting, posture work is a daily piece of the program, to help ensure proper function of the shoulders and torso.

MEN'S LIFTING CLASS

Late last year, I put together a Men's Only lifting class.

In it, we not only aim to build muscle and trim fat, but we also get the chance to create a bond.

One thing the weights have taught me in my nearly 30 years of lifting is that going to battle with the iron forges a different kind of friendship.

Good, solid, hard training makes you better in multiple ways, and I'll show you how to get started the right way.

The Men's Group meets at 6pm on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, right here on Main Street.

After school strength training classes start again on Monday, April 7th. Start time 315.

Strength Training is a must for competitive athletes, but is a great way to get in shape for those who are not in athletics. Strength Training also helps with weight management, balance and confidence!

Send a message if you're interested in having your youth athlete get started with proper strength training.

I design all the workouts, check to be sure form is safe, and modify all workouts to match current abilities, strength levels, and injury considerations.

Classes last an hour and take place Monday, Wednesday and Friday. $200/month.

I have 14 years of experience as a personal trainer and strength coach and have been working with youth lifters of all shapes and sizes, male and female, since 2014.

I've worked with athletes ranging from football, wrestling, baseball, softball, track, dance, and non-athletes as well.

I currently have 2 lifters signed up, and I can take 3 more.

Did you know, PEAK has a class on Saturday mornings for girls only? It's called GIRLS POWER HOUR.

This class involves improving strength using basic exercises - nothing crazy, nothing complex, and nothing too intimidating.

We use various forms of resistance, especially dumbbells, training bands, and many times just body weight.

Strength is important for athletics, but it is also the foundation for balance, speed, jumping ability, endurance, and other athletic qualities.

But bigger than all that, strength helps ladies (youth and adult, alike) feel more confident and sure of themselves.

Not a youth athlete? No problem. Adult women benefit from resistance training in all these ways as well, PLUS it helps you strengthen your bones, improve your posture, and improve body composition.

GIRLS POWER HOUR training sessions are built around full body training, so all parts of the body get stronger, every time you train.

To sign up for the class this Saturday, November 9th, send a message by Friday, 11/8 at Noon, to get on the list.

We're starting up at 8am this weekend.

YOUTH STRENGTH TRAINING IN WYALUSING

Do you have a son or daughter that competes in sports, dance, or other physical activities?

At PEAK, working with young athletes has been my specialty since 2014.

Strength Training helps with balance, speed, confidence, and weight loss, among many other benefits.

Strength Training is also very safe for young lifters, and I pay strict attention to form during our sessions.

Right now, I have openings in my 315pm class on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. These classes run between 45 and 60 minutes.

In the early morning (530AM) class at PEAK Strength and Fitness, I program them using Conjugate Method. We blend Max Effort work with Speed Work, Muscle Building and Conditioning.. We also vary our Max Effort and Speed Work with Bands, Chains, and modified pull distances in the program.

Michael Newman returned after the Summer and we were already 6+ months deep in ironing out the process for the class. He jumped back in and immediately took off in all areas.

The workout today was Trap Bar Deadlift off 3" boxes, because 3 of the kids have a wrestling tournament scheduled the next 2 days, so we borrowed from the Conjugate Method once again, to use a shortened pull distance.

With this morning's performance, Michael produced the heaviest Trap Bar pulls ever done by a youth lifter I've trained. In nearly ten years of working with under 18 yo lifters, i believe him to be the only one who ever pulled over 500 on any form of Tap Bar Deadlift

I am very proud of all the dudes who get up early, come in and get it done before school, while everyone else is sleeping. The kind of consistency and dedication that Michael and the rest of the group show week in, week out, during the season, after the season, etc, has led to outstanding strength and conditioning gains over the years and we aim to keep these increases coming in the weeks, months, and years, ahead.
