What will 2026/2027 season bring?
Hope everyone is doing well. I have switched gears to drag racing, mowing the lawn and being outside as much as I can.

This past winter’s snow totals map from the NWS Buffalo. Much of Oswego County with over 150” of snow. Bullseye like always is over the Tug Hill with 300”+. Definitely a snowy winter across the area. You can read the summary at the link below.

As of right now if we do not get anymore snow till the fall, and that's a big if, for the 2025/2026 season here in Worth, NY we received 323".Last year for the 2024/2025 season we received 341 1/2". What will the 2026/2027 season bring?

Just for reference, below are pics from now and the past. I think since I have own a place on Tug Hill which is 29 years, the latest I have seen snow on the trails Mother's day in May.

We will be doing a Live Feed from the Valley Snow Travelers Hot Dog Roast, this Saturday April 25th, 2026 at the intersection of Flat Rock and Carey Rd.

I thought I would put together a list of links for those that ride ATV/UTV as there seems to be lots of confusion and misinformation online.
Many paved and season (dirt) road are open without a trail permit. Check the maps in the links below as it changes per county.
If you plan on riding "club trails" you may need to purchase a club membership.
Please do yourself a favor and contact a club in the county where you want to ride in for the best up to date information.

Is it done snowing yet?
Well, it is for this week but it's Tug Hill and there has been snow on Mothers Day in May... I'm just saying...

This week's snow showers here at the Worth location of www.northernchateau.com bring our 2025/2026 season total up to 320 1/4", yes that's 26 feet 8 1/4"...
As of right now, we are 21 1/4" behind the 2024/2025 season which finished up with 341 1/2".

I am planning on taking the General for a ride tomorrow April 9th and doing a Live Stream from Parker's Corners for those that may want to ride their ATV/UTV this weekend.
I will give you a bird eye of what is on the trail view plus let you know what the trails were like on my way over there so you can plan accordingly.

I do not believe the Lewis County private trails are open yet but you can check their page for up to date information.
Also Central Oswego County Riders club is working very hard to get more trails/roads open. Check out their page and you can join them online.

1. Yes in fact we picked up 3/4" of snow over night bringing the season snowfall total here in Worth, NY to 317 1/4"
2. Do not load your sled on a trailer and come to Tug Hill to ride it unless you don't mind riding what I call combo trails, snow, water, dirt.
3. Fact, even though some clubs have not officially posted that they are NOT grooming, there will not be any grooming.
4. Many gates have already been locked and snowmobile trails on private land are closed.
5. I do plan on doing a live feed sometime on Thursday April 9th from Parker's Corners again so you can check out the trails conditions in case you plan on coming to Tug Hill this weekend with your ATV or UTV.
6. If you ride a dual sport bike please make sure it is registered and insured but as of right now IMO some seasonal road have too much snow so you will be limited to seasonal roads.

Time to get spring toys out and ready to play.
I took a quick rip in the General the other day and some seasonal roads still had pretty good snow coverage but after the last 2 days weather I am sure that has changed drastically.
Who knows, maybe I will do a live stream tomorrow for those looking to ride on Good Friday or this coming weekend so they have a heads up..

Sorry, the white board we**am isn't working right now but I do not want to go outside right now as Tom is in the mood for love and trying to impress the ladies.
Oh we received 1 1/8" if snow bring the Worth, NY total to 315 3/4"

7 years later and as it looks right now the weather is repeating itself...

Seems the 2018/2019 snowmobile season is winding down and Porky Pig says it best.
Before you break your ATV out, please note, not all snowmobile trails are ATV trails. My suggestion is join an ATV club where you plan on riding and get a map. NOT all seasonal roads are open to ATVs.
