The Worcester Union is a girls softball organization, located in Worcester, MA. We offer a 10U - 18U level travel softball program, and provide conditioning, skill training, and tournaments, with activities and volunteering. The Union organization, located in the "Heart of the Commonwealth”, is Worcester based, but hosts players from all over central Massachusetts. The Union is proud to provide ou

Worcester Union Ingles 10U are your Charlton Summer Smash Tournament Champions 🏆

This is a team of winners and this is their fourth tournament championship of the season. Another weekend, another title, and more proof of what this group is building together.

Congratulations to Sean Lee 12U on winning the 2026 Waves Summer Slam Silver Bracket Championship!

This team faced some adversity early in the tournament but never stopped competing. They bounced back, played great softball, and finished the weekend by bringing home the championship trophy.

We are incredibly proud of this group for the way they responded, supported one another, and represented Worcester Union throughout the weekend.

💥 HOME RUN WEEKEND FOR WORCESTER UNION LEE 💥

The bats were absolutely on fire this weekend as several Worcester Union Lee players went yard and helped power the team to a pair of impressive victories.

🥎 Soleil C. continued her incredible season, blasting her second and third home runs of the year, including a grand slam and a solo shot. Soleil’s power at the plate and clutch hitting were a huge part of both wins.

🥎 Veronica D. joined the home run party with a two run blast to center field, helping spark a dominant performance against AGS Pride.

🥎 Rihanna L. added a three run homer to cap off a huge offensive day and put an exclamation point on the victory.

There is nothing better than seeing hard work pay off. These girls have put in countless hours in the cages, on the field, and with their teammates, and this weekend it showed in a big way.

Congratulations Soleil, Veronica, and Rihanna on your home runs. Worcester Union is proud of you and we cannot wait to see what comes next! 💙💛🥎

A special Worcester Union moment this weekend at the Waves Summer Slam! 🥎❤️

One of the original creators of Worcester Union, Meg Perreault Mulhern, stopped by to catch some of the action with Sean Lee’s 12U team. Seeing Meg on the sidelines was a great reminder of how far this program has come and the incredible foundation that was built from day one. Worcester Union has grown into one of the region’s premier travel softball programs, soon to be entering out tenth season.

The wins, the lessons, the friendships, and the opportunities our players enjoy today all trace back to the vision, dedication, and hard work of people like Meg. It was wonderful for our 12u players, families, and coaches to connect with someone who helped start it all.

Thank you, Meg, for helping build something that continues to impact so many young athletes. Once Union, always Union. 💙🥎

Some people leave a mark on a program. Others leave a mark on an entire community.

Mel Melkonian is one of those special people.

For generations of athletes in Worcester, Mel has been far more than a coach, mentor, and leader. She has been a champion for young people, a role model for women in sports, and a driving force behind the growth of softball in our city. Her impact can be measured not only in wins and accomplishments, but in the confidence she helped build, the opportunities she created, and the lives she touched along the way.

At Worcester Union, we are incredibly grateful for the guidance, support, and passion Mel has shared with our organization. Her love for the game and unwavering commitment to helping young athletes succeed have helped shape who we are today.

Congratulations on your induction into the Clark University Hall of Fame. It is a fitting honor for someone whose legacy extends far beyond any field, scoreboard, or trophy case. Your influence can be seen in the countless players, coaches, and families who are better because they had the opportunity to learn from you.

They finished as finalists at the Ed Keene Memorial Tournament! The girls battled all weekend long and fought through some really tough conditions before falling to KP Pride in the championship game.

This group continues to show toughness, heart, and resilience every time they take the field. We’re proud of the way you competed and represented Worcester Union all weekend long.

This group came ready to compete from the first pitch to the last out. The bats were alive, the defense was locked in, and the pitching staff was absolutely dominant all weekend long.

Proud of the way these girls continue to play for each other and represent Worcester Union softball the right way. Back to work tomorrow. 💪🥎
