May 17 Club 💪

What a month! Between school ending, graduations, vacations, and Memorial Day weekend, 40 members still made it into the 17 Club.

May was packed with activity, including our annual Murph Challenge, and this community showed up in a big way. Your consistency, dedication, and hard work continue to make Musclecamp such a special place.

This week at Musclecamp CrossFit we honored the fallen through a full week of Hero WODs. 🇺🇸

Monday started with Murph, followed by:
Tuesday — Adrian
Wednesday — Laura
Thursday — Sham
Friday — Jenny
Saturday — Weston

Each workout reminded us of the sacrifice made by the brave men and women who serve our country. We are proud to support our military community and honor those who gave everything for our freedom.

🥦🍓 NUTRITION DOESN’T HAVE TO BE BORING 🍕🍫

Healthy eating isn’t about being perfect — it’s about making better choices more often than not. 💪

A few simple swaps can make a BIG difference:
🥤 Soda ➡️ More water
🍟 Fries ➡️ Fruit or veggies
🍬 Candy cravings ➡️ Greek yogurt with berries
🍔 Fast food every day ➡️ Meal prep a few times a week

And yes… you can still enjoy pizza, tacos, and dessert. 🍕🌮🍪
Balance > restriction.

Remember:
✨ Protein helps recovery
✨ Carbs fuel your workouts
✨ Healthy fats keep you full
✨ Water keeps everything running smoothly

This past weekend, Musclecamp CrossFit took on the Cleveland Spartan Trifecta Weekend and proved once again that our community is built for hard things. 💪🔥

A huge shoutout to our very own Spartan, Phil Mickley, who led the charge all weekend long! Phil tackled the Beast 21K on Saturday and came back Sunday to crush the Sprint 5K alongside the rest of the crew. That’s the kind of grit and leadership that inspires everyone around him.

Another big accomplishment goes to Michael Miller, who completed both the Super 10K and the Sprint 5K on Sunday. Back-to-back races, obstacles, mud, and miles — incredible work!

Late-night cravings happen to everyone — especially after a long day, busy schedule, or tough workout. The goal isn’t to be perfect… it’s to make better choices consistently. 🌙🍎

A few tips to help with late-night snacking:

✅ Don’t skip meals during the day
Undereating earlier often leads to overeating at night.

✅ Choose protein-rich snacks
Protein helps keep you fuller longer and supports recovery. Think Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, beef sticks, or a protein shake.

✅ Keep healthy options easy to grab
If chips and sweets are the easiest thing in the pantry, that’s usually what we’ll reach for. Prep healthier snacks ahead of time.

✅ Drink water first
Sometimes dehydration feels like hunger.

✅ Slow down and eat intentionally
Eating while scrolling or watching TV can lead to mindless snacking.

✅ Remember: one snack doesn’t ruin progress
Consistency over time matters far more than one late-night craving.

Some days you feel motivated.
Some days you feel tired, stressed, overwhelmed, or unprepared.

But every time you choose to walk through the gym doors anyway, you’re building something bigger than muscles. You’re building discipline, confidence, resilience, and strength that carries into every part of life.

Progress doesn’t happen overnight. It happens in the early mornings, the late evenings, the extra rep, the decision not to quit, and the consistency to keep showing up even when it’s hard.

The gym isn’t about being perfect. It’s about becoming stronger than you were yesterday. 💪
