The Golden Circle of Champions is an organization dedicated to raising awareness about children fighting pediatric cancer. Children are honored at PRCA rodeos for their bravery and perseverance. This year, Woodward Elks Rodeo is proud to honor Analilia.
Analilia is the 12-year-old daughter of Sergio and Stephanie Rocha. For the past three years, she has been bravely battling Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis (LCH), a rare disorder in which abnormal immune cells build up in the body and can cause tumors, lesions, and damage to bones and organs.
Analilia was first diagnosed in May 2023 and endured a full year of chemotherapy before proudly ringing the bell on her birthday, July 12, 2024, marking the end of treatment. Unfortunately, just three short months later, she began experiencing chest pain, and docto
rs discovered that the LCH had relapsed with a new lesion on her sternum.
Following the relapse, her medical team at OU Children’s Hospital enrolled her in a clinical trial in hopes of treating the disease. After a few months, however, the side effects and toxicity became too severe. During the trial, Analilia also developed RCVS, which caused sudden, intense, and painful cluster headaches. Due to these complications and other health concerns, her doctors made the difficult decision to remove her from the trial and pursue a different treatment approach.
Analilia is currently taking an oral chemotherapy medication twice daily and has been on this treatment for the past several months. At this time, her condition is considered stable, though her medical team is still uncertain how long treatment will continue. Through every challenge, Analilia has continued to show incredible strength, courage, and resilience far beyond her years.
Thank you to Golden Circle of Champions for supporting Analilia in her fight against cancer. Come on out to Woodward Elks Rodeo, June 10th-13th, to honor Analilia with us!
