After surviving three elimination games and taking an early lead in the championship round, TyCo’s title hopes were halted by weather before the series could be completed.

🏆 Championship Round Reached. Weather Wins. Memories Made.

The TyCo Titans’ incredible run at the 2026 SWLA Bayou World Series ended in one of the most unusual ways imaginable.

After battling through three consecutive elimination games on Sunday, TyCo reached the championship round and jumped out to a 2-0 lead before lightning and heavy rain brought everything to a halt. The championship was never completed, leaving plenty of “what ifs” and an unforgettable story to tell.

Over the coming days, watch for stories in local news publications highlighting this special group of young men, their journey from Hennigan Park to the World Series championship round, and the toughness, resilience, and heart they showed throughout the week.

Whether you call them finalists, co-champions, or simply one of the toughest teams in the tournament, we couldn’t be more proud of these boys and the way they represented Tyler County.

⚾🏆 Opening day is DONE and what a day it was! The Perfect Game SWLA Bayou World Series is officially underway here in Lake Charles and the TyCo Titans showed up and showed OUT. 🏆⚾

These boys got to experience something really special today — Opening Ceremonies with Pin trading and skills competitions with teams from all over the region. This program couldn't be more proud. ⚾

🥈 Shoutout to the TyCo Titans for taking 2nd Place in the Around the Horn Competition!

Tournament play starts tomorrow and pool play kicks off at 1:15 PM. These boys are locked in and READY. ⚾⚾
