HUGE congrats to on earning his jiu-jitsu black belt and on achieving his 1st degree! Obtaining a black belt in jiu-jitsu is no easy feat - it takes dedication, perseverance, and a whole lot of sweat (and sometimes tears). Drew’s journey began back in 2008 and joining our team at Freedom Jiu-Jitsu in 2023. Scott has 20 years of training culminating in this moment. Earning a black belt isn’t the finish line - it’s just the beginning of a lifelong journey. Drew is Freedom Jiu-Jitsu’s first black belt. Today was a major milestone for our community and we are horned to share the mats with this gentlemen. Special thanks to our mentor and head of our affiliation, Steven Bongiorno for showing some wizardry prior to the ceremony. Thank you to our community for showing your support and thank you to all our guests that came out to celebrate with us 🙏🏻

Yesterday marked a momentous occasion for Freedom Jiu-Jitsu, as received his black belt from Professor Steven Bongiorno and Professor was also honored with a 3rd-degree black belt promotion from Professor Steven Bongiorno. This recognition acknowledges tireless efforts, leadership, and commitment to the growth and development of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
In addition to these promotions Freedom Jiu-Jitsu became an official affiliate of , connecting our team to the esteemed lineage of and . This affiliation further enriches our team’s heritage and tradition, paving the way for future generations of practitioners.
As we embark on this new chapter, the team can look forward to continued growth, learning, and success.
