Hurricanes lose a heartbreaker of a Sectional Final match 26-28, 25-20, 15-25.

While this one really stings, what really shines bright are these 18 remarkable young women. After a 7-win regular season filled with doubt about what we could accomplish, this team chose to come together when it mattered most β€” and give it everything they had. And they certainly did just that and more. From winning a regional title for the first time in 9 years, to playing 5 tough opponents, they never gave up. They realized what they could accomplish when they believed in themselves and each other.

This season was FULL of incredible life lessons for this team. When we put God at the center of all we do, He will carry us through. When we put others before ourselves and when we fight for the person next to us, beautiful things happen. When we choose resilience over comfort, we grow. This season wasn’t just about wins β€” it was about becoming better teammates, better leaders, and better people. We learned to show up for each other, sacrifice for each other, and love something bigger than ourselves. We showed what happens when a group of individuals becomes a FAMILY.

Our run ends tonight, but what we built lasts. Thank you to everyone who believed, supported, and cheered for us. We walk away with full hearts, stronger bonds, and life lessons we will carry forever. 🩡🏐❀️

β€œChristine has been playing volleyball for 7 years, starting in 6th grade at St. Thomas. She is one of the most bubbly, charismatic, joyful, funny, and encouraging players you’ll ever meet. Her energy on the court is unmatched and absolutely contagious. I’m so thankful to have shared the court with her β€” we will miss her so much, Christine, and can’t wait to see all the amazing things you’ll do next!”
