Woodstock School of Ballet Serving the community since 1985, Woodstock School of Ballet offers excellent dance instruction for Auditions are held each spring for Company placement.

The Woodstock School of Ballet first opened in 1985 with a commitment to offering the community the highest standards for dance training, and related arts. Since then, students have thrived in a professional, caring atmosphere, learning from some of the metro area's finest instructors. Our philosophy is to encourage students, in a positive environment, to be self-motivated, competing only with themselves, and to develop a sense of personal accomplishment. Physically, students will gain strength, coordination, flexibility, and good body alignment from their training. Other benefits include self-confidence, poise, good classroom manners and just plain fun! In 1992 "Cherokee Ballet Theatre" was established as a performance outlet for pre-professional students. The school's commitment to quality has produced a polished group of dancers who perform a varied repertoire of classical, modern, tap and jazz works. The Company's season includes a holiday production of The Nutcracker, Spring Concert, a Lecture/Demonstration series for area schools and libraries, and a number of community performances. CBT has been a recipient of a Grass Roots grant awarded by Georgia Council for the Arts and Cherokee County Arts Council for our work in the schools.

Fairytale Camp was a blast this past week! Our campers started each morning with a group warmup, then divided up for ballet class. They learned dances, had movie time during lunch, and made daily crafts. At the end of the week parents were invited in to see a performance to the lovely songs from the “Moana” movie. What a great bunch of kiddos and a fun week!

Cherokee Ballet Theatre’s summer camp was so great! Our dancers had daily classes for 2 weeks in ballet, jazz, contemporary, pointe, choreography, Pilates, improvisation and dance education. Lots of hard work and even more fun! Congratulations to CBT 2026-27!
