Tournament #2 this Saturday at Jordan. Bonner’s, Daylight to 3. If you’ve fished with us in the past, you know that our daylight is as soon as we think we see a crack of light, or earlier. Jordan may be busy Saturday, so we are going to blast off early. As for weigh-in…. we will cross that bridge when we get there, so…. If we’re gone when you get there, call, or text, me and you can pay when we get back at 3. Hope to see everyone there!!

$25 per person membership
$80 per boat entry fee

I realize that the schedule shows Higgin’s Ferry as the location for Saturday night’s tournament. To clarify, we are going out of Franklin’s Ferry. It is a typo, but I got the Ferry part right.... especially since Brad Rooker will be there.

Due to a 100+ boat tournament at Franklin’s on Feb 2 our next tournament has been moved to the following Saturday, Feb 9. It will remain out of Franklin’s Ferry and is from 7AM to 3PM.

If something else comes up for Feb 9, I do not plan to move the date, but we may change locations. I hope this doesn’t happen, but, if so, I will do my best to make sure everyone is notified.

I’m sorry if this has inconvenienced anyone. I look forward to seeing everyone there.

I, regrettably, am cancelling the tournament for this Saturday at Lake Mitchell. To the best of my knowledge, this is the first time we’ve had to do this, but due to the weather I feel like this is the best decision. Tournaments should be fun and 45 degrees, 10-15 mph wind, and 2” of rain sounds nowhere in near the ballpark of fun.

There are no plans to make this tournament up, so, unfortunately Lake Mitchell will be eliminated from a potential Day Classic destination. I will give all current (paid for) members credit for having fished this tournament, as it pertains to the 5 tournaments needed to fish the Classic.

Our next tournament is February 2 at Bankhead (Franklin’s Ferry) from 7AM-3PM. Hope to see you all there.

The Rock Quarry boat ramp is open. We will be there, as scheduled, this Saturday. Daylight til 2:00 PM.

FYI: The ramp at Rock Quarry on Holt is closed at this time. I spoke with the Corps of Engineers on Wednesday and they are running a water line across to Deer Lick. He told me that they were supposed to finish the line this week and that they were hopeful to reopen the ramp this weekend. He, also, said that I should call them next week to make sure.

He said he didn’t see it being closed next weekend, but they “are the federal government” so he couldn’t promise anything. As of this time, Rock Quarry will remain as the weigh-in location. If I find out that the ramp will be closed next weekend we will move the tournament to Rocky Branch.

I have no problem with anyone launching wherever they want to launch, but let someone know, be at the weigh-in site on time, and pay at the weigh-in. If you leave early, then make sure you find someone to give your entry fee before you leave. I really like that we that we can trust the members of our club enough to run it this way, but it will only take one time for this to not be the case.

I will do the best I can to let you all know about Saturday, if it changes. If you hear nothing, then assume Rock Quarry. If you plan to practice fish this weekend, I would find a different ramp.
