Woodstock Golf Club opened in the spring of 1929. Nestled in the Hudson River Valley, about 100 miles north of New York City, the private club stands at the gateway to the famous small town of Woodstock, N.Y. A round of golf on the nine-hole course (which measures 5,456 yards for 18 holes) begins and ends with a walk over the Sawkill Creek. As it winds its scenic way beneath the slopes of Overlook

Mountain, the course offers a worthy test of skill to golfers of all abilities. For 75 years the club has hosted the Woodstock Open, which annually attracts a field of top amateur and professional golfers; the legendary Gene Sarazen competed twice in the 1960s. Apart from its widely praised course, the club offers a full-service golf shop, restaurant and bar, men’s and women’s locker rooms, and other amenities. ⛳️❤️ The DeLisio Memorial – 44th Annual ❤️⛳️

This year’s DeLisio Memorial will be especially meaningful as it marks the first event without our fearless leader, Paul “Poppy” DeLisio.

For decades, Paul was the heart and soul of this tournament. His generosity, energy, and commitment to helping others made this event what it is today. He always led by example, and now it’s our turn to carry that spirit forward—showing up, giving back, and being the kind of people Paul inspired us to be.

This year’s event will benefit Mentor Me of Ulster County, a special organization we are proud to support for the second consecutive year. Together, we can continue making a difference in our community while honoring a man who spent his life doing exactly that.

Somehow, against all odds, summer finally showed up at Woodstock just in time for our first tournament of the season. And the members made the most of it.

Gary S. kicked things off in style, firing an impressive 73 to take home the hardware in our always-fun Quota format tournament. Out on the course, the competition was lively, the weather finally cooperated, and the club was buzzing all day long.

Meanwhile, the Clubhouse at Woodstock was doing what it does best — cold beers flowing, cocktails on the deck, laughs around every table, and plenty of members in absolutely no rush to head home.

All in all, a perfect day to kick off tournament season at Woodstock.

After a long winter, we’re almost there! ⛳️ The Woodstock Golf Club is opening up, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome everyone back.
Please keep in mind—the course is still very soft. Be mindful with carts, repair all ball marks, and take care of your divots so we can keep the course in great shape for everyone.

It’s with heavy hearts that we share the loss of a man who carried this club and so many of us for years. Paul Delisio leaves behind a legacy that cannot be replaced, only honored.

Paul will always be remembered first as a devoted family man, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Affectionately known as Poppy, he built a big circle of family, friends, and anyone he could fit in. Once you were in his crew, you were taken care of no questions asked. His love was steady, his presence constant, and his generosity unmatched. He gave his time and energy freely to friends, family, and even strangers.

Woodstock lost a true legend, a character in the best sense of the word, someone who made the world a better place.

We will miss you deeply, Poppy. Let’s all honor him by being a little more like him. Show up. Give back. Take care of one another.

From all of us on the management team — a huge thank you to our amazing members for making 2025 such a strong and memorable year here at Woodstock Golf Club! 🙌 Your support, energy, and love for the game make it possible to host all the fun, competitive, and community-driven events we’ve enjoyed this season. 💚
Big shoutout to Chris Sanger for another awesome year both on and off the course! 👏 His competitive drive and passion for golf continue to shine at our small but mighty club. 💪🏌️‍♂️
And of course, a massive thank you to our maintenance and grounds crew for keeping the course in fantastic shape all summer long! 🌿👏 Your hard work behind the scenes never goes unnoticed.
As we head into the offseason, please remember to respect the course and stay clear of the greens once that time comes. 🌱

The leaves are turning, the course is looking fantastic, and it’s the perfect time to sneak in a few rounds before winter shows up. ⛳️
We recently hosted the Men’s Senior Championship, breaking things out into a few competitive divisions. Big congratulations to:
🏆 Brian Williams and Loch Kelly – division champs!
🏆 John Frahm – overall net winner, just edging out Gary Cross in a close finish!
The competition was strong, the weather was crisp, and the vibes were top-notch.

The rain may have cut things short this weekend, but not before plenty of competition and team spirit in The Horvath Cup!
Captains drafted their squads for a two-part battle: four-ball best ball followed by alternate shot.
🔥 Team Robbins (Red Crew) came out swinging, dominating best ball 7–1 over Team Baumslag (Blue Crew). That early lead proved too much to overcome, and when the skies opened, the Red Crew sealed the win 9–7.
A big thank you to all the members who played—spirited matches, great camaraderie, and plenty of laughs. Can’t wait for next year’s showdown!
