A massive thank you to everyone who tried out for the team this year! Your effort, talent, and passion made this decision extremely tough, and we appreciate the great turn out.

We are excited to announce the Etowah Jr. Eagles baseball team roster for this upcoming season! Huge congratulations to all who made the team - we cannot wait to get to work.

Please note a few changes with respect to tryouts Monday and spread the word to others. Our baseball field has been overseeded, so we will not be on the baseball field Monday. We will do all of the infield and outfield work, timed running, and our throwing on the football field beginning at 5:00pm. I understand that school is dismissed at 4:00pm but | will need all participants to be ready to stretch at 4:30pm. Please have your son walk over to the football field right after school get registered asap, or if you pick him up, please drop him off up top near the football ticket booth. Baseball pants, belt, cap, bat, glove, and cup will be needed. He will need turfs or molds, but no metal cleats will be allowed for the football field workout or the cage BP session. He can wear metal cleats for the pen work only.
Our goal is to select 16 players from the 8th grade. There may. be a spot available to a 7th grader that is ready to play on a 60/90-sized field that we will compete on. There will be no 6th graders selected for this team, and I'm sorry if that was communicated earlier. This is a developmental program and it will only run for 6 weeks with one practice a week, and one DH
per week and this season will run simultaneously with your spring/summer team and we will coordinate innings pitched with your other team.
I appreciate your help in getting your son ready to the tryout and look forward to a great workout. Coach Bartosz (2017 State Championship), Coach Sprecher (2016 Etowah Baseball), and General Manger- Marcus Griffin are looking forward to leading this program and will share more information with you after the team is selected.
*Playing for this team is not a prerequisite to play baseball at Etowah*

The Jr Eagles ended their season last night sweeping Woodstock 5-1 & 8-5. Thank you to all who came out to cheer on the boys. They had a successful run!!
