⚠️🌡️ TODAY'S MEET-UP CANCELLED 🌡️⚠️

We have made the difficult decision to cancel our scheduled walk/run for this evening due to dangerously high temperatures & humidity.

Heat can be life threatening for dogs and we want to keep everyone safe - our dogs health is our #1 priority.

Why this matters:

* Dogs can overhear quickly, especially on hot pavement or direct sun.

* Heatstroke can develop in minutes and recovery is not guaranteed.

* Extreme heat + Humidity makes it even harder for dogs to naturally cool themselves.

We are sorry for the inconvenience, but dog safety comes first. Let's keep our community healthy and happy! 🌞🌡️🐶

🐾 You don’t have to adopt a dog to change their life!

What if you could spend some time with a rescue dog, get outside, try an adventure together, and discover whether you might be a match?

That’s what CaniVenture’s Rescue Runner Program, hosted by MCCX, is all about.

We’re partnering with local shelters to give rescue dogs new experiences through Cani-Walk, Cani-Cross, Cani-Yoga, and adventure—while giving YOU a chance to connect with them outside of a shelter environment.

And sometimes… the best way to find your adventure buddy is to simply get out there together. 🐶❤️

Ready to hit the trails with your four-legged best friend? 🐕🌳

Join us for an energized Canicross Meet-Up - where fitness meets furry fun!! ✨

We will be trying something a little different this Wednesday. 😜

The McHenry County Canicross team are training and getting ready to head back to Michigan this October for The Woods Midwest Canine Obstacle Course 5K!

That being said, we would like to start building some Obstacle training before or after our meet-ups!

This Wednesday, we will be meeting @ 5:10 PM to practice some obstacle course drills. Things like, "up" (jump up/jump over), "under" (crawling under things such as picnic tables etc.), "wait" (sit and wait command). Etc.

Are you looking for a way to help rescue dogs?
Are you unable to Foster or adopt, but you still want to help homeless animals?

This may be the perfect opportunity for you!

Please join us this Saturday, September 5th, Benton Street Tap in Woodstock IL. from 12pm-4pm!!🎉

McHenry County Canicross-Official will be there with Glory Bound Rescue Ranch pair up and unite forces to help improve the lives of shelter dogs who are currently looking for homes! 🐾

We will be showcasing a few of our Rescue Dogs that are currently in the Rescue Runner Program through CaniVenture.

You will be able to meet them, greet them, and play with them, heck...maybe even enjoy having a drink with them! 🍻🎊

These are all adoptable dogs that are looking for homes and are currently joining forces with a local Canicross Group out of McHenry County.
These dogs are getting socialization, exercise, mental stimulation, and even some leash straining while in this program.

We firmly believe that every dog is talented, intelligent, and more than deserving of love and a safe place to rest their head at night.
