Vail Field Ice Rink is Open!

Thank you for the community support to make this happen. Special thank you to the Woodstock Fire/EMS for filling the rink last week, The Woodstock Inn for allowing us to use their water to resurface throughout the winter. And to the community for supporting the yearly costs associated to getting it up and running throughout the winter.

A few things to remember:

*This is a community rink, maintained by community members. We can all do our part to keep it going throughout the winter. Many hands make less work.
*Please stay off the ice when it’s soft.
*Feel free to shovel anytime, shovels are available, you don’t have to wait for someone else to do it.
*Please put the shovels back so that the next person can find them.
*Please do not throw anything on the ice, sticks, rocks, etc. It damages the ice and can be very dangerous to skaters.
*Please keep pets off the ice.
*If a puck leaves the surface, try to find it so it’s not lost until the spring.
*Be respectful of those that are not playing hockey and make room for everyone.
*Be careful of the new skaters.
*Helmets are encouraged.

We are excited to offer this rink again this season, help us keep this skating option available for years to come by being respectful to the town property and its neighbors.
