It was a pleasure collaborating with this week to help young goalies understand the importance of joint health.
It’s really inspiring to see these young men spend their free time improving at their sport.
My job was express how being a Good Human first, can translate into becoming a Better Athlete.

💭Just thoughts
In my opinion
The Segmental Cat/Cow is the most difficult to articulate and is the most important exercise in your program.
💡All the fascia and connective tissue in your spine work together to “stabilize” the spine.
💡This continuous network of tissue are your spine’s first line of communication about the external world (forces).
💡Segmental CAT/COWs allow you to IMPROVE Spinal Control as well as IMPROVE your Spine’s reactivity to environment it lives in.

That being said, my s**t still needs work! Especially that damn Thoraco-Lumbar arra... 😅🤫

If you’re from NYC 🌃 and you walk these streets regularly, please do yourself a favor and strengthen your ankles before lockdown is over!
There are still enough potholes to go around when you all start phasing back into work!
Lateral ankle sprains are a common form of ankle injuries and occur when the foot is in INVERSION.
Once you understand the orientation or position of “weakness”, then you can strengthen that specific position to improve the quality and strength of that tissue in that specific position.
