August 14-16th: Hwy 64 to York Hill Paddle (Boone's Cave camping)

We'll spend two days on the Daniel Boone Canoe Trail using Boone's Cave riverside camping spots as a base camp. We'll first meet on Friday night to camp out. Saturday morning, we will pack boats onto as few vehicles as we can in order to go to hwy 64 access. We will paddle through places that Daniel Boone referenced in his time living in the area. We will glide by mills, settlements, and favorite fishing rocks on our way back to Boone's Cave.

🇺🇸 Happy 4th of July from Cooleemee River Park, “The Bullhole!”

We can’t wait to welcome everyone to the park this Saturday and Sunday!

As a friendly heads-up, due to the ongoing drought, river levels are lower and the waterfall may not be flowing as we’re used to seeing.

While Mother Nature is calling the shots, there’s still plenty to enjoy—cooling off in the river, beautiful scenery, walking trails, picnic areas, and a wonderful place to spend time with family and friends as you celebrate Independence Day.

To help everyone get into the park as quickly and safely as possible, please take a moment to review the park rules before you arrive. A little preparation helps keep traffic moving and gets everyone on their way to enjoying the day. https://www.cooleemee.org/riverpark/

We look forward to seeing you this weekend. Have a safe and happy Fourth of July! 🇺🇸
